Management Who is Jahm Najafi and will he be better than Enic?

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Airfixx Airfixx I'm not sure it is entirely fan fiction that Levy meddles in the footballing affairs.

Certainly it is exaggerated, but even the Amazon doc left an impression of a Chairman more involved in the footballing side than he ought to be.

Either way, he has accountability given his role as chairman. Even if not involved he clearly isn't implementing the right structure to get things right at the club (choice of manager and recruitment team primarily) so as a leader he is failing however you want to look at it.
Failing relative to resources? Failing to overachieve?

Not sure it's sports washing if they aren't publicly heading up the ownership. How much soft power do they gain having 30% share of an investment fund that owns spurs. Seems this more of a traditional investment rather than a sports washing project.

I suppose they could then use spurs as an advertisement board sticking loads of abu Dhabi brands on the club and stadium.
Yes. As I've said before, sportswashing is mostly a Western construct. UAE and other Middle Eastern states invest in sports assets to diversify their investment portfolios away from energy, and in an aim to build global awareness of their status as a business destination. They couldn't really care less if we like their habits or religion.

LeParisien LeParisien failure is subjective isn't it.

On a pure trophy basis over the past 20 years we are failing.
And based on our net transfer spend the past 5 years we have spent terribly. Failure.
Look at what ENIC took on and you can make an argument for success in terms of where we are now.
However we are where we are and they are not the owners to push us on if we truly want to win anything.

Couldn’t care less who eventually ends up buying the club, so long as they care about the football side rather than treating it as an annoying chore.

they want 5 bill

so doubtful this will get accepted
If this Najafi geezer thought that price would get accepted, there is almost no chance he'd want it known to any competitor buyers.

It doesn't take much research to know what you are dealing with in Levy and ENIC. This is a lowball public number designed to steer the negotiation toward a lower figure. They will know that a good chunk of fans aren't in love with ENIC and will be happy to see a buyer come in with what looks like a reasonable number.

During Enics time here

Birmingham , Swansea, Middlesborough, Blackburn and Spurs have won 1 league cup
Portsmouth, Wigan and Leicester have won more FA Cups than us.
Leicester have won more league titles.

Wonder if the next owners can help us get past them?
