Match Sheff Utd vs Yid Army FA Cup Wed 1 March 2023

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

To be honest no, unless he moves to Chelsea or god forbid Woolwich I won’t have any ill feeling. Last time I was annoyed how his brother tried to lowball us with Man City but I don’t blame him for wanting better.

If he stays in England I would rather it be with Man United preventing Woolwich or Liverpool winning the title next season. But really I just wanted him to win the title with us, that he didn’t is sad.

A flat, miserable performance against a not-very-good Championship team who, apart from a few minutes, were less than mediocre. I thought they would put us under more pressure but they didn’t which just goes to show how bad we were. We offered absolutely nothing at all.

The entire right side of the defense were at fault for a well taken goal but special kudos to Davinson Sanchez, I guess.

Richarlison? Donkey’s ass. Banjo. Water. Boat. You get the drift.

There goes our last chance of silverware 22/23. Now it’s imperative that we finish 4th. It’s not a consolation but necessary if we want to keep Harry and keep the rebuild going.
Harry is gone, he's entering the last year of his contract the club can't afford for him to run his contract down and leave for free and will cash in this summer, he will end up at Man Utd or in Germany it's already a done deal.

Harry cant afford to waste another year of his career at a club with no ambition.

And I don't blame him

Absolutely false.

In current setup he has two roles - either LCB in back 3 or LWB.
He has played shitloads in back 3 before this/last and almost not at all in LWB.

His main position over years at Spurs have been LB but in current system there is no LB used.

Having multiple roles is being versatile, no?

Yes, his current role is mainly LCB - the LWB is a recent thing because of necessity.

It doesn't change the fact that he is actually a LB, and you suggested he was being played out of position. When recent games have arguably been his more natural position.

What is his natural role? What was he bought for? What does versatile mean?

Then tell me again how I am wrong lol

His Spurs positioning timeline over the years......

LB > LWB > LB > LCB > LWB

I've seen so many posts like this of people saying "Levy doesn't pick the team" "Levy's not coaching the players" you are all missing the point.

The point is, this club is set up to get us into the top four, that's the target Levy is setting managers, it was in Levy's statement to the trust and you see it every single season in the cup competitions when we rest players.
The club isn't set up to win trophies, it's set up to do just enough to get top four and stay on the gravy train.

Kane will start against Wolves because winning that game and taking a step closer to the top four is ALL that this board is interested in.

Levy has presided over how many managers now? How many players have come through the revolving door?

And no trophies to show for his tenure.

This club is set up to make up the numbers and when those big European nights roll around all Levy can hear is clinking sound of the cash registers in the bars and club shop.
But our players in general are better than Sheffield Utd;s players so how is it Levy's fault that they lost this match? That's my point, not all the top 4 debate.

We cam't just keep relying on Kane every single game.
If anything, you'd figure that Levy would be all for us having strong cup runs/winning cups if it could be combined with securing CL football.

Right now we seem to be set up to only care about the league and CL. And have been for close to a decade.

He's been a fantastic, loyal , record breaking servant of our football club. With 0 medals to show for it. A footballing travesty. That he HAS to leave to win a trophy is a abhorrent stain on our owners.
The personal abuse and vitriol he received on here last summer was embarrassing and disgusting tbf.

Maybe because the same players that fuck up these cup games are the same players who fucked up the last cup game and the one before that.
Those players should have been replaced ages ago and that's on Levy and the board
Buck stops with them

We should have beaten Sheffield Utd's second string team with the team we put out last night.
I'm not saying we would have won the FA Cup, maybe that could be blamed on Levy but losing to that team last night, I don't see that as his fault.

Just Imagine where we would be this season without Kane given Son's shoddy form.

I have not read all the post's but I have to vent.
Cristian Stellini "We used a good team to play this game against this type of opponent." talk about under-rating our opponents, it was to reach the quarter finals FFS, put out our number 1 team, get a lead 2-0 or so and then sub HK, did we do not do any research? They had been playing well, aggressive and causing issues for all teams that they have played against, we have been errr intermittent at best.
I will never stop supporting Spurs, been more then 4 decades now, but ffs, every year I get some hope and some BS like this happens and a BS excuse is used, no wonder our cabinet is dusty.
Vent over.
