Nothing to do with him winning at Celtic and more to do with the style of football he promotes.

The SPL is a farmer's league, not disputing that but I'd be happy to take a punt on someone who plays precisely the type of football we're desperate to see over the type of football we've been served up by Conte and Mourinho, both considered "top coaches".
I don't want pretty football and finish 16th in the league.
Actually, I doubt it would even be pretty. It's easy to play pretty football when you're probably 3 leagues better than the your opposition almost every game.

someone else like who?

There’s a whole bunch in the poll who would at least offer us football that belongs in 2023 and would provide us with entertaining football. And would at least want to be at Spurs.

Conte doesn’t. In many ways I don’t blame him as there are things fundamentally broken at the club. But we can still be less soulless and impossible to watch than this. And we can beat fucking Sheffield.

So you're assuming that he's a shit manager because he manages Celtic?

Or are you assuming that the type of football, similar to how Man City play is shit.

Hardly anyone had heard of De Zerbi until this season, but now suddenly after 30 odd games managing Brighton, he's top of people's wish list.

I'm saying when he comes to a very competitive league, the pretty football will be far harder to implement when teams actually give you a game every week. At least Di Zerbvi is doing it with a team who aren't massively at an advantage over their opponents in the PL.
What he's doing at the moment is closer to what Ferguson did at Aberdeen before he went to United. He took a team that wasn't Celtic or Ranges and made them good. That's the kind of thing we should be looking for, not some one at the best team in a poor league who is just doing what everyone does there.

This is very true about De Zerbi. 22 league games is not the reason to be appointing him. And before Brighton he's done nothing of note to get excited about.

so the next coach must:
get the same conte's results in EPL
do better than conte in the Cups
offer a pleasant football to the fans

klopp, ancelotti, zidane, luis enrique...one of these?

Normally I would be unhappy at Levy running it but with Paratici’s ideal managers being Gattuso and Nuno if this is true it is probably preferable.

They won’t need to be any of those to achieve this. Coaches with worse teams are producing better football and similar results right at this very moment.

We’re more than capable of knocking out a dreadful Milan side or beating Sheffield. More than capable of playing watchable football, and more than capable of maintaining being in and around the top 4.

Conte has achieved nothing miraculous .. these targets aren’t ambitious.

but one of those coaches would be ok for you?
because, for example, many fans are thinking that Zidane would fail.
others think that Luis enrique would fail.
so maybe, maybe, it's not that easy to reach these results (which for me are insufficient, I want to be clear on that)

If we get Enrique in Skipp is probably the only midfielder who suits his system. The technical players he requires in midfield coat 60-100 million in this market, and that’s on top of all the other positions we need to upgrade.
