Manager Antonio Conte

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Even if he is saying some harsh truths he is actually deliberately humiliating the club in order to go early with a payoff. And he is to blame for the shit football we play and he is responsible for morale amongst the squad.

Just fuck off.
He doesn't get a payoff. He's not deliberately humiliating anybody. He's being the guy we already knew he was.

A lot of wailing and gnashing teeth here over a manager calling out players and the owner. About fucking time i'd say.

Where did I say that, if I may...?

..........By virtue of your twatty reply to me; you deserve a similar liberty taken with your comments.

Again: Faults with our owners not withstanding; he's got plenty to look into the mirror for..... Yet he's he's teflon as far as you're concerned......

To adapt a cliche from somewhere above: It's Tottenham Hotspur FC; not Conte FC.

Football management contracts are the weirdest thing ever.

You can fuck up week after week, pick out of form players week after week. You can then go public and completely slag off and throw your employer under the bus (even if it is true). Then you get a huge pay-out when sacked.

He has said he's to blame as well though. Of course he is to blame but nothing he's saying tonight is unjustified.

He's said what many fans say about our owner and players. About time they heard it from a manager. Let them take their medicine.
This is pretty disingenuous. He's very rarely accepted blame for his poor tactics, negative (or invisible) substitutions, his inability to rotate, etc. When he has, it's mostly been lip service.

He's an egomaniac, and is constantly blaming others.

You act like this is the first time he's blamed the players, it's not.

Yes, he's said a lot of stuff today that a lot of people agree with about the board and the players, much of which I agree with.

But let's not act like he's taken his share of blame or that he hasn't been mostly backed or that he hasn't had a full summer and season to implement his style. He has. And the longer he's been here the worse it has looked.

It's his job to work with and improve what he has to work with. He's failed and is blaming everyone but himself.

It’s because managers at top level are limited and sackings are common.

Conte is bang on about the low expectations at the club and the comfortable atmosphere that has players like Davies making 300 appearances and Dier still starting every game.

I expected these kind of comments earlier on in his tenure and for him to really challenge the board but they never really came until now. I guess he was keeping it under wraps and now he knows the jig is up so is speaking freely.

I don't think it's a conscious thing where the players don't care but they know that failure is basically fine here.

The old guard (Lloris, Kane, Son, Dier, Davies, Sanchez) are supposed to be the senior figures in the dressing room but they have never experienced success at club level and they are in the latter stages of their careers. They are simply used to failing.

I think that creates an uninspiring culture and over time the new energy with winning mentality (Romero, Bentancur, Kulu, Porro) slowly gets worn down and start coasting like the others.
but then why hasnt he made it paramount that shit like dier, davies, sanchez and lloris was shifted out in the summer and the backline was built no matter what? his tactics put stress on an area we are pathetically weak! it was never going to work.

Like we've all been saying, the cunt has wanted out for months now, but Levy refusing to fire him for whatever reason.

If he was fired before the CL game, we might have beat Milan.

I hate that it's come to this, and I agree with what's been said mostly and I still don't believe our form warrants him losing his job - BUT he has to go now, can't be speaking like that and tbh I think he's said this stuff to try and get himself sacked. Probably the strangest tenure of a coach I've ever seen as a Spurs fan.

He isn’t the club it’s not his job to sell Dier and buy a new guy in. He is the manager not the chairman. I am sure he said buy this guy, sell that guy. He can’t make it happen though.
