Match Spurs vs Brighton, Sat 8 April, 3pm

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Ok, every time there is unreasonable behaviour, aggressive, vulgar and rude etc I will flag it up when I see it. Then we can gauge if there is a problem or not.
What is unreasonable is subjective, I like the banter and the cunt offs on this forum, it provides a refreshing break from the shit football that we get served up all so often.

I find this to be a very reasonable forum in general and thank you to the admin for not over moderating it.

I think the Hojberg "foul" where he stood on the forwards foot would have pissed me off if we hadn't got it. The others though, the handball disallowed goals, we have had shouts like that against us loads of times. As for the shirt pull that MOTD pulled up, if that is now a penalty, we will be seeing 5 penalty's every game.

VAR does still pretty much go with the on field officials call. They just seem really reluctant to go against it, unless very obviously wrong. So, really it all comes down to whether the ref or linesman see an offence and flag or whistle for it.

Definitely, got away with that win yesterday though. Can see why Brighton will feel pissed off.

Playing devils advocate, who remembers a couple of years back when they scored against us and they fouled us, the ref went to the monitor and kept his original decision? That very rarely happens.

Something something balancing out, but VAR is supposed to catch the things that were missed.

Fuck off the five minutes trying to disallow goals because of pubes, they are getting that wrong anyway. Simple if you can't rule it out or in within 30 seconds it's onside. If the ref missed something send him to the monitor.

Or even have a like 2 arbitrary manager requests per match were they can ask something to be checked.

Agree on the shirt pull. Games would end 10-10.

Its therapeutic for you to enjoy fans kicking lumps out of each other in a verbal way.? Especially after a bad performance on the pitch ?

JFC is this whingefest about nasty words being used on a football forum still going on? Shows how little interest we all have in on field affairs that this is what's taking up this whole thread though.

I almost spat my Ovaltine out last night when watching MOTD and listening to Shearer say that was a pen :roflmao:

I'm now expecting MOTD to flag every shirt pull at a free kick or corner to be flagged as a penalty on their analysis.
One of the Brighton players pushed one of our defenders before Dunk thundered it it. Of course, Skippy shouldn't have been on Dunk but are players allowed to blatantly push defenders out of the way before arguably profiting from a player being off balance or out out position?

Where's the analysis on that?

It's called 'selective' analysis 😆

Basically, had we lost yesterday the knifes would have been out and every media outlet would be absolutely slagging us off, telling us to sell Kane etc blah blah but because we won it's 'lucky' or 'fortunate'. This is why for me the players deserve some praise for the way they got through the game yesterday in a game which some teams could easily have rolled over in.

We certainly got the rub of the Green yesterday, I doubt there's a single Spurs fan out there that hasn't watched at least the highlights and had a self conscious little chuckle at what we got away with.

However, we see this every single week, mostly in favour of the team we're playing against. My mate at work texted me saying that the ref obviously got the shirts mixed up, and he's a spammer!

What we NEVER see is a media pile-on about the injustice to us. What we never see us a media pile-on when it's the "usual suspects" benefitting from poor officiating.

It's calculated media pressure on the officials to ensure that "little old Tottenham" are scrutinised in the next match(es) to ensure that we're on the receiving end in the next match(es).

EVERY SINGLE TIME we have one of these games where decisions go out way, the frenzy to highlight it goes on for days on end. I predict that this will be "debated" until at least Thursday.

If it were Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea or the filth, it wouldn't get a mention by Monday.

Great point actually and it’s been missed somewhat. After Kane scored we played like other teams have this season (because officials allow it) and fouled, time wasted and fell over a lot. I don’t like it but I was delighted to see us do it just like the other teams. We haven’t done it enough this season and is probably why we drew the last two games before this one. A lack of professionalism and “playing the game”.

Yep agree, I thought we saw the game out well and actually made the right decisions and shithoused abit, something we didn't do in the previous games where we slipped up.

I actually didn't mind us kicking the ball abit more direct in the game rather than constantly trying to play out at the back which we are clearly not consistent enough at doing well.

Agree. I’m not convinced their centrebacks or keepers are great so it was a good tactic to avoid being closed down from the front.

I didn’t like us being so easy to be carved through in midfield yet again. It’s such a shame Bissouma isn’t back yet. Stick him in there as an extra body in midfield and it would solve a lot of problems.

Yesterday was a disgraceful refereeing performance, however it makes me laugh the amount of complaining that there's been in the social media. Where the fuck was this outrage when we got robbed MULTIPLE times this season? One game goes Spurs's way and absolutely everyone loses their fucking minds. Same thing happened last season with the Kane tackle v Robertson against Liverpool at home. Last week Kane got clawed in the face like The Great Khali and everyone was complaining why he fell down "so easily", when Salah, Saka and Bruno do it on a regular basis and nobody gives a shit.

The agenda against Spurs is ridiculous. And you'll still have dumbfucks thinking that we're the "media darlings", not Liverpool, United or Newcastle.
