I just think we've tried "big" names and they haven't worked. No way Enrique will be yoked by Levy for too long.

Its time for a manager who can hopefully improve these players, I'd also say PL experience is essential.

But I its a game of opinions.

Why?

What if the PL experience was bang average like Rodgers?

PL experience isn't that important. Jose didn't have it when he arrived, neither did Pep.

Who does that leave us with? The only names I can think of are Rodgers and Potter who no one wants.
I don't want Rodgers, though he isn't as bad as some are making out, he got sold down the river by Leicester's board this season big time.
I just don't like the man.

Controversially I'm sure, but I'd take Potter or Thomas Frank over Enrique all day long

The idea that Chelsea somehow go for Poch and then we don't throw everything in the world at Naglesmann to get him to come here is nuts.

I still think Naglesmann winds up at Chelsea.

But what if Chelsea are in 10th at the middle of the season and we're in the top 5 playing lovely football? Chelsea doesn't strike me as the kind of environment that Poch would be successful in. If you think Levy meddles, you just need to take a look across town at Boehly. I can see him frustrating Poch no end.
Oh he would be a dead man walking at Chelsea the moment he steps through the doors.

But he is also the right mix of brave and insane to think that he'll succeed.

Which tbh. Any manager should think when they take any job.

At the min it seems likeliest is

Nagelsmann to Chelsea
Luis Enrique to us…

Dunno what that means for the few seasons or in terms of keeping Kane. He’s attacking at least but it’s all moot if Dier Sanchez Lenglet Tanganga Lloris are in our back line next season. Two top CBs and a GK are essential. Otherwise it doesn’t matter who the manager is.

I honestly think I’d rather Rodgers over Enrique.

Pretty much every leak/story that comes out just comes under 2 categories:

1. Chelsea having no fucking clue what they are doing so briefing Matt Law to make it look like anyone we want, they already rejected.
2. Paratici briefing friendly media to give the impression he's still here and swinging his dick.

If there is one thing I don't doubt Levy on, it's being more secretive and shrewd than Todd Boehly who has shown himself to be a total nincompoop.

I'm not sure that I'm "Poch In", but him potentially going to Chelsea is something else. If he ends up there and our search for a manager is protracted again, how tenable is that spot for Levy? Seems like this would be the kiss of death. I think it would be different if we hired someone else and he went there.

Luis Enrique has two total seasons in his managerial career coaching senior club teams without Messi-Neymar-Suarez across the front line, neither in England, the most recent of those in 2013-14.

He's a complete and utter mystery in terms of what he would bring to Spurs.

I don't think he wants the job tbh.
