Slot certainly seems more likely than Nagelsmann or a host of other options (Rodgers etc), just based on the lack of news so far and his league situation at Feyenoord up until last week.

I've had no inside info so far, mostly because my club insider hasn't worked there since 2011.

I agree with you on the idea, but we need far more than 3 big signings.

GK, the whole CB trident, a LB/LWB to compete with young Destiny, CM x 2 (a ballwinner and a more creative/attacking type), at least 2 wingers/FWD, a new cover for Harry...

That really is how poor our current squad is that we need so many new bodies in. And obviously that's testament to the utter shite work our decision-makers have been doing for years. I mean: Dier, Sanchez, Tanganga, Rodon, Sessegnon, Winks, Dombs, GLC, Moura, Richy...they all need to do one. I ain't that bothered about Romero, Perisic, Hojbjerg and Kulusevski either to be honest.

In my opinion, Nagelsmann told Spurs something along the lines of the above - just as Poch, Mourinho & Conte did before - and that's why they came out with that fucking lie saying they never were interested in him. Russ Williams said as much on LWOS.

Dan Dan & that cunt Donna are so up their own arse, they'll never admit they got it wrong. They'll just keep on blaming everybody else. I also think they're so clueless and delusional that they've convinced themselves our squad is actually well good and that all we need is a good coach and a couple cheap acquisitions. Which obviously would be terrific business for them...you get back into the CL without having spent a fortune. But it don't work like that...
By all accounts we've not even approached Nagelsmann.

You'll have to pick all those toys up by yourself now.

100%, that was a wee bit ridiculous and even insulting to say that about the fans.

The fans got a manager sacked and they got a player subbed off the pitch, the fans have more power than they think. Trust me the club listens to the fans because ultimately they are the paying customers which is why I get frustrated at this fanbase for not aiming their angst at the right people.

Feyenoord would be leaking news about losing him for 2 reasons:

1. Spurs have told them they will pay the fee
2. Slot told them he won't sign the new contract.

Makes it seem like they maybe already gave permission for us to speak to him as well,
I think it is all very positive and we have a great chance of getting him

Now , if we can just make sure he never meets Daniel Levy , Joe Lewis , Donna Cullen or the Munnster

GK - yes
CB - Def 1 this summer and hopefully another
I take it you think Romero is worth a spot in the starting 11, despite his recklessness and stupidity costing us points on a near-weekly basis? I guess that's also assuming Dier does sign that 3yr extension (hurts just writing it). We need to cut Dier, Sanch, Rodon & Tangs for sure. That's 4 out. If Cuti stays, he owes us big friggin time so better get his shit together. But yeah, you don't ship 4 out and bring just one in. We need 2 or 3...but won't do what's required, just what's cheapest (like another Lenglet loan...kill me please)

LB - not high priority with Davies and Udogie (let's see what happens with Perisic)
If Perisic goes, and I reckon he will ask for a transfer to a CL club, we're left with PL-unproven Udogie and Davies who at his age is better off playing CB

CM - If we can shift Hojberg then yes another 6. We need an 8/10 regardless
Hojbjerg is another Dier, he'll stay and likely start most/all games, especially with Roddy out til Nov and Biss a bit fragile. His duo with Skippy will keep getting battered by other teams' CM but that's where we're at. Reckon our new 8/10 won't be really new...GLC

FWD - Depends on new manager and Son/Kane decisions. If Kane goes then the whole thing changes but most likely we sign 1 forward this summer.
I'm with you, think we'll sign one and that's if we're lucky. Kulu will stay (30 friggin mil), Richy too cause nobody will give us 60 for him after that car crash of a season. Danjuma would be mad to wanna stick around. I wouldn't be against that Mbeumo from Brentford...

That's a target of 4/5 in unless we get core members out.

`not really a drastic summer rebuild needed, more like a continuation of the rebuild.
Continuation of the rebuild?! Didn't know we'd started one...

Biggest signings this summer are DOF and Manager. Munn could be if he actually persuades Levy to step away from football decisions.
Good luck with that last bit...

Lol, there’s not a chance that Nagelsmann was available and we didn’t even approach him. Absolutely the club put out feelers and was rejected.

Which is actually the more positive outlook. Because if Nagelsmann was available and we straight up ignored him there would be much more call for toys out of the pram.

Yes I do and I don't think they cost us on a weekly basis. I think the dysfunction of our team costs us on a weekly basis. People get too focused on Romero IMO.
Really don't want Dier to sign an extension. Ideally we let Lenglet go back to Barca and sign 2 CBs.

Perisic probably will go. Maybe one of the CB's we sign will also be able to play LB, i,e., Hincapie or even better Hancko from Feyenoord. Udogie should be able to feel his way into the league and not leaned on to start straight away. That gives us until January to decide if we do need a LB/LWB.

I would love to sell Hoj and bring in a player like Ugarte or Lavia. Between Bissouma, Bentancur, Sarr, Skipp, and one more, that would be a decent CM rotation. I'd expect a more creative player like Kokcu to come in regardless. Maddison is more suited to playing further forward.

Kulu is in the same situation as Romero IMO. People are focused on him because the team is playing badly. He's a very very gifted player that I'd snap up for 30m. Danjuma hasn't cracked the rotation so probably we need players to replace him and Lucas. I'd like to see Gil come back and then sign a forward that really challenges Son. Richy should get better chances under a coach with the balls to actually rotate Kane.

I don't have much faith in the last bit either. They really need to prove to the fans that they know what they are doing now. It's not like they haven't taken their sweet time to plan it...
