Absent a creative CM we do.

You gotta hope it pays off.
As we're on course to break our own record of taking too long to appoint somebody.

I can deal with 70, 80 days of waiting if it pays off. If he's gone by December with us getting twatted left right and center, again, then we probably need to burn the whole thing down to the ground.
It doesn't matter how long it takes to appoint a manager. What matters is that he is in place on June 1st.

Absent a creative CM we do. It's defensively that we need shoring up.
We need at least 2 ball playing cbs, someone to partner Romero and someone who can adequately deputise. Added to that another cm/dm who’s comfortable on the ball in place of Hobjerg, an attacking creative midfielder or 2 seen as we currently have none and will surely change to a 4-2-3-1/4-3-3, also a goalkeeper who’s good with his feet.

A good manager will tweak his system to accommodate the players he has at his disposal until he can get the players he needs to play his system. Something that Conte had no idea how to do.

And if the system tweak results in something better than what the manager's preferred system is, a good manager will recognize that and stick with it. It's an ever evolving process and the good managers recognize this and embrace it. They don't just have a Plan A.
You mean like Pep, he has 1 wingback so he plays 4 cbs?
