He is a world class manager and now a proven winner. Only one defeat all season. He is taking us to the next level. Some fans on twitter were calling him the Dutch Guardiola. What a steal. He plays free flowing football and his tactical in game management is genius. This is a new beginning.
Another reason for going down the Schlott route is that it gives tabloid headline writers the chance to make amusingly clever puns along the lines of "Great Slot", "Slot on Target" etc.

Can I not be excited for this appointment? Taking feyenoord who were 28 points behind Ajax a couple of seasons ago to winning the Dutch league. How impressive is that. Who says he cannot do that with spurs. He will give us an identity and he is here for the long term. We need this manager. The whole culture of the club will change now. Cheer up man. At least levy is listening to the fans and drowning us respect with this appointment.

I never knew that much about Arne Slot. I was fixated on Nagelsmann. I got on the hype train with Mason but Mason is not ready. Slot is the answer. Anyone compared to Guardiola gets my support. He is such a likable guy as well and will look after and take care of our players. This is really exciting times.
I do agree that while a good man who loves the club, Mason is nowhere near ready for the full time job. Maybe one day.
We've been disappointed many times by new managers and their issues working under Levy so I no longer share this type of enthusiasm. I hope he's great of course and will support him, if it's Slot.
