Why change the habits of a lifetime ?
There is nothing Levy can do to stop him from staying this year and leaving for free if that is what he wants. Levy has NO LEVERAGE. He isn’t going to undermine a new manager by insisting that Harry be dropped. What can happen:
1. Stay for another season, leave for free - Levy won't allow such
2. Sign another extension this summer, commit to Spurs, stop all rumours - No news of any negotiation
3. Leave this summer to another PL club - Possible
4. Leave this summer to Spain - Possible
Most likely he will leave this summer.
I do think he cares to an extent, though if he beat Shearer's by one goal then the 'top flight' record should really come into question anyway, given Shearer scored some pre-PL goals too.Why would Kane really care so much about the EPL scoring record?
Shearer is the all-time top-scorer by default ...and that's simply because they changed the name from First Division to EPL. And reduced the number of teams. Players like Dixie Dean, Jimmy Greaves and Arthur Rowe have scored many more top-division goals than Shearer and more than Kane will score...
I think Kane rather want to challenge for CL & domestic league title than be part "hundredth" rebuilding project under Levy. Levy can't fool him this time (I think).
What was that about Mourinho guaranteeing a trophy in the final? No one here thinks you are right. But its okay to live in your own little world.
I think Benzema leaving Real (and at the same time freeing up their iconic #9 shirt) is the clearest indication that Real are ready for Harry....
It's just a case of weather Kane wants to 'drop down' a number!!!!
Kane going to Madrid is by far the least painful outcome if he leaves.
But they have Vinicius.
And buy few cheap young unknowns send them on loan then sell them for loss.Hopefully he goes to Real, wins a few trophies then comes back and breaks the Prem record.
Ideally with Spurs.
Meanwhile, we buy some mediocre midfielders with the money.
After what has happened with Hazard I think even Real will be wary about signing ageing PL players for mega moneySeems like Madrid are signing Havertz - they won't afford Bellingham and Kane as well
But they have Vinicius.
Or do you think they would play Mbappe through the middle?
I just think Kane helps them so much with their ageing midfield too.
Kane is not the perfect replacement for Benzema. Benzema is much more mobile, better in the air, scores big goals in big games. Kane is brilliant but Benzema is on another level above.Sadly, Kane is the perfect replacement for Benzema.
If they come with more than 90m and Kane pushes, you'd have to think this happens.
Very different now Benzema has been pushed out.
You do know if he wins a trophy with his club, he doesn’t get to keep it? All he has is a medal and a memory.I can't understand the importance of the PL scoring record V trophies.
Imagine Kane @ 40 no trophies but PL record. What a big deal!!!
He is got England and Spurs record, for now.
Remember more importantly records are there to be broken. Trophies stay forever.
There is trophy for winning league titles and cups, there is even trophy for highest scorer in a season the golden boot but there is no trophy for records.

For #1, I don't think Levy has any say in the matter. Levy can't sell Harry without Harry's signature. What can Levy threaten Kane with to make him sign? It would be suicide for Levy to force the manage to bench Kane if even a manager would comply. What can happen:
