Manager Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

The more I watch and the more I read on Ange Postecoglou, the more excited I get about this appointment. I've never known so many people change their mind on an appointment so quickly (negative to positive), as when anyone has done the research on AP it's hard not to feel like this is the guy to get us going again!

I can't wait to watch entertaining football and see this manager quickly connect with the fans, like he has done at every club he has been at. I love his attitude and I like the 'no nonsense' approach. I really hope this appointment takes us to the level where we need to be.

Yes, it's going to take time and patience - and backing from the board and a huge rebuild with many players going out the door and new players coming in... but I've gone from feeling like I can't wait for the season to be over to "when's the fixtures out for next season!" (Thursday 15th June BTW ).

Good luck, Ange Postecoglou, you will need it, but very early on you have a lot of people who are right behind you!
What fucking research did he do? I heard that he was moaning about Ange when we were heavily linked with him before it was confirmed.

I think he was researching the media appearances he would get if he was positive about Ange getting appointed.

Probably the same as the rest of us - wonderful thing the internet (a lot of stuff linked in this thread) I have taken a similar path - when strongly linked with him I was totally underwhelmed and considering cancelling my ST - now I can’t wait for the season ahead / it may be the hope that kills you but the more I read the more hope I have.

If it was a normal fan I would totally agree, I'm just super cynical of his motives and cant stand him.

What does that have to do with anything? You should be pleased he did sign the contract and took us from midtable to top 4.

No one forced him to sign the contract, like when you do a job and fuck it up and eventually get sacked, no one blames the employer for you fucking up.

No offence intended but your level of thinking is pretty basic if I have to explain that to you.

So if Ange is successful, Levy is in no way responsible for that at all and deserves no credit?

When things go well (appointments, signings, results, etc) Levy deserves a portion of the praise.

And when they don’t go well, he deserves a portion of the blame.

Not sure what planet someone is on if they don’t think this is the case.

Er yes they fucking do! I speak from first hand experience. If one of your team fuck up, it's often you that gets pestered. That's why you need to know your business to a high professional level and recruit the best you can.

Read what I said again and calm down this time.

You don't blame the employer for the person's fucks ups.

Like if the employee kept coming late that's not a result of the employer, that's on the employee because they are the ones who need to take accountability hence why they will most likely get sacked.

In this context we are talking about Conte not doing his job properly, if Conte is responsible for the team underperforming and not getting results you don't blame the chairman, you blame the manager.

Read what you wrote again and then realise you were typing bollocks:

"when you do a job and fuck it up and eventually get sacked, no one blames the employer for you fucking up"

If what that person did that got them the sack caused harm to the business, you - the employer or manager of that person - will stand a fair old chance of getting it in the neck.

You're really struggle with context don't you.

I literally explained it to you in the post you quoted, I literally couldn't have made it any easier for you.

But if you're happy to focus on an isolated point in order to get your win then be my guest.

You're talking about Conte not doing his job properly (I actually agree to a degree with that btw but partly because of the lack of a quality bench forged by idiotic decisions from up top) But the consequence of his negligence has left us in 8th place and out of the European competitions. His actions have damaged us. Nuno and Mourinho were likewise letting things slip. All employed by Levy and he's the man at the top who's getting it in the neck as a consequence.

That's totally normal for a company which is not running a core element of it's business properly. The very fact that they currently appear to be doing a big course correct thanks to staff, player, fan and even media pressure is proof that they respect that they have been fucking up.

Now, I don't know if you understand what I've just written because I genuinely think you're missing a bit of grey matter, but maybe I can do a crayon drawing instead for you if it makes things easier to understand.

You're calling him a pussy but Levy employed him and made him one of the highest paid managers but you don't blame him at all.
Like a dog on a fucking bone it always has to come back to Levy for you, doesn't it? What's next, blaming Levy for Romero's red card against Milan, because after all, it is Levy that sanctioned his purchase? Oh, I know, we should blame Levy for Sissoko's handball in the CL final, because after all he bought him 3 years prior to that. Or maybe we should blame Levy for losing the FA Cup semifinal against Chelsea because, if he had bought Willian he wouldn't have scored against us and we may have won that game.

You do see how ridiculous and pathetic this is, don't you? How do you get through life with this kind of mentality?
