The thing is I looked at your posts when Conte was appointed and you said correctly that he would never succeed with Levy in charge. We have also seen another highly successful manager in Mourinho fail here. Look at the managers who have done well under Levy - Poch and Redknapp - Ange is more similar to these two, he can improve players, bring through youngsters and will play football you actually want to watch.

I'm sure if Levy had hired JN you would be on here saying he will fail because Levy won't give him what he needs to be successful. Unless we get oil money we aren't going to be competing with the biggest teams for the top players. Personally I would prefer if we could achieve something without having to resort to that.

The word is that Lawwell's son was at City at the time Ange was appointed to Celtic and had heard Pep talking about him as a decent and progressive manager. (Ange was CFG also while at Yokohama.) So the likelihood is that Pep endorsed him to Celtic, but not directly.

Anyway, it's going to be a fun ride and just maybe very successful.

I get the feeling towards Levy, I really do.

But abusing our new manager before he’s had a season with us is out of order.

Fine, blame Levy for the situation the club is in - I won’t argue otherwise.

But ALL spurs fans (regardless of any misgivings) should be backing the new manager.

And that is all I’m going to say on the matter.
