I know there is a lot of rage at the notion of Meslier, but I wonder if a lot of the criticism/fear is slightly misplaced?

He is a very young keeper, who was behind one of the worst defensive teams the PL has ever seen. It would make any keeper look worse, no?

I am not convinced by the guy I just wonder if the adverse reaction to him is a little bit misplaced and maybe there is a good goalkeeper in there somewhere?

Can anyone tell me what he’s like sweeping and with his feet?

He did 26 90 mins (and an 87) out of 31 starts. League 1 is not slow or lacking physicality. It just lacks stars over the age of 24.

It would be better than the use we got out of him last season.
21/22: he played 11, started 7...avg of 64 mins.

18/19: played 34 (31 starts), avg of 79 mins.

17/18: played 35 (31 starts), avg of 74 mins.

Regardless of what the stats say, anyone with eyes knows Tanguy ain't a 90min high intensity dude. He just ain't got it in him...physically or mentally.

Gotta say im shocked Levy hasnt moved straight in for Lee Kang In as soon as the season was done regardless of the manager.
It's his ultimate dream Club signing, young, potentially good, South Korean , and a release clause of £15 million:levywhoa:

Same logic applies to Lloris, surely?

It was a forfeit...

That's the least notable part of my post anyway, but it was a forfeit, we couldn't fulfil the fixture, it couldn't be arranged for a later date, Rennes were awarded a 3-0 win, forfeit...

We were given an impossible situation. The Premier league wouldn't let us change the dates of midweek games. Rennes wouldn't play us on the only dates we had available. We had absolutely no choice but to forfeit. It wasn't a choice, we would have played it if there was a date available. Had we played and won, we would have gone through to the knock out stages based on head to head with Vitesse
