Enlighten us then. Give us some context so they actually have meaning. I mean, his successful passes: who were they to and in what situations? Long? Short? To Hugo, putting him under pressure, or to the advertising board behind Hugo for a corner?

Absolutely. It was always evident, from his time at QPR, that he was a talented player. He's shown since he ruptured his Achilles, that he's a grafter too. One of my mates ruptured his back when I played, and it took him months just to walk without a limp, then even longer to step back on a Football pitch. He didn't have the resources at his disposal the Eze has, but it's a long and painful road back regardless.
Whether Gil has that kind of mentality we can only wait and see.

One of the saving graces of football actually returning and Spurs actually having to play games is that you will pull a little disappearing act again until the next summer where you can try to pretend everything is fine again.

Hes actually not even saying everything is fine anymore. I'd prefer if someone was in denial and said everything was fine. Then you can at least end the conversation with him saying oh well, opinions = arseholes,etc.
'Deal with it' implies that he loves the owners so much that HE is fine with the club not being fine. Hard to call that a spurs fan.
Watched this clip the other day (although i think it might have been a longer version)...... Some of it he's creating drama where it otherwise did not exist and he nearly loses the ball a bunch of times.

Yh is possibly overrated but his numbers are still pretty impressive.
Since he's been in the Prem he's scored the exact same amount of league goals as Kevin De Bruyne.
KDB has double the amount of assists and big chances created But Maddison still has impressive numbers compared others.
Maddison has better defensive numbers like tackling and interceptions than KDB(I expect this this is probably more to do with Man city having the ball most of the time).
He would still be a very good signing for us.
Also with him and Raya both being homegrown and actually good premier League players means we don't have to clogg the squad up with players who offer nothing but being HG
