Here's a comparison to Diogo Costa. Who's cock he's had in his mouth for a month.

Is there one of these comparisons with Lloris from last season?

“Stories are true”
honestly they should just give up being itk altogether, unless theres room for jump the bandwagon itk

I appreciate the sentiment and, to an extent, agree with it.

But the thing about Brighton signings is that they tend to fit in seamlessly with the team and work. Their scouting is excellent.

We’ve spent large sums on shit players and small sums on shit players. The variable is the fee paid. The constant is their being shit.

As I say, here’s hoping the lad is brilliant. I just hope it’s part of a long term vision on how we’re going to play rather than is buying from the one remaining team in Italy that Fabio hasn’t defrauded.

This graph is definitely stupid. Why is the y axis passes attempted?? Why not passes completed or pass completion %? Bizarre.

Because pass completion would rule the likes of David Raya out and other promising goalkeepers who play in certain systems that require them to make difficult passes, skewing their statistics.

Same with ball progression. Goalkeepers who play impressive short, often sideways, passes under heavy opposition pressure are then ruled out.

Passes attempted is a simple stat. But it also gives you a rough idea of what teams have their goalkeeper use their feet. A little flawed as it also depends on teams style.

They got the Audacity on Spurs community to slag off Paul O’Keefe who by the way, was the 1st person to come out with the Raya info and also mentioned Vicario as an option before any media outlet. Spurs community are an absolute scam.

The other thing is that it's all transparently part of the dance with Brentford for the player we'd rather have.

That doesn't mean you just surrender to an unreasonable valuation. That's not a sustainable strategy and Brentford have definitely gotten their hand caught in the cookie jar here. Raya isn't worth what they're asking and other suitable targets exist.

But the thing Daniel Levy always gets wrong is that the purpose is not to win the "Strategically Intelligent Signing of the Summer Award", the purpose is to put a top quality keeper between the sticks for the long term who the club can rely on.

You have to have good scouting and trust it. If Raya continues to excel in the Prem and Vicario is a bust, Levy will deserve the pelters he gets and is LOSING money here rather than saving it.

not at all, we need more for this position

we could end up getting him and hes shit for a season then we have another problem on our hands, we need more then a to take a punt on a guy from empoli, fair do's taking risks as backup options but not as a first choice keeper.

he could be good but there are too many unknowns and for a position we need to get right
The only unknowns are in your head. Unless you have a better formula for identifying quality players, in which case you should probably send your CV to Munn.

I mean, the amount of fucking experts on this site...
