We have already spent 75 Million in this window. (Porro, Kulu), with an expected additional 10-15m on Lenglet. We also will likely spend 20-30m on a keeper.

We spent 610m over the previous 4 windows, with only 50m outgoing.

The squad (as is) is more than capable of winning a trophy and finishing in the top 4. Ange's job is to get them performing at their top ability.

We clearly need some rotations if he feels players in the squad won't match his system of play; and CB and Attacking Mid seems the area where we may move out players and bring in replacements.
We are not signing Lenglet.

Porro and Kulu don’t count from this summers budget.

How hard is that?

If the budget for Postecoglou’s painful rebuild then Levy is really a joke.

It won’t be though. Plus they will raise some via sales

Porro and Kulu were on loan last season.

I've not seen anything from the club or Ange to say there is a 'painful' rebuild planned. We have been buying up young players over the last few windows With the exception of a GK and CB the only addition I can see us making is a CAM to accommodate a formation change.

Our squad is already too big, and with no European football we certainly aren't going to grow it further.

Udogie, Gil, Ndombele could also come in and become regulars.

Being smarter with our signings maybe like our fans want?

Murphy hasn't learned anything at all.
Baulking at a fee for a decent keeper and spending a relatively small fee on someone that looks shit, when he will potentially need replacing and we won't be able to shift him.

But yeah, you do you.

I've watched us spend stupid money on players the last few years with a very low success rate, so sorry if I'm a little underwhelmed because we won't actually make a sensible offer to upgrade one of our two problem areas.

I don't think Chelsea's selling is related to FFP either. They're unloading their donkies to clear up space for additional spending, and thanks to their relationship with Saudi they have what seems like a tenuously legal way to do it.

If they sell and don't buy, that would indicate an effort to get good with FFP. I don't expect that to be the case at all.
They HAVE to sell to avoid sanctions. This IS what they are doing.

By selling they become compliant.

They can then continue to buy because they are in a new financial window.

I guess they will have to do the same again next year because for 2022 they would have racked up even higher losses than the previous season, I would also guess the following year (this season) also because they aren't in Europe. Then the new rules come into effect which I'm not on top of yet.

We need to sell or release around ten players in parallel to that
