I imagine talks will go something like this

Levy : What up my dog? How much cheddar for Tapsoba

Leverkusen chairman : 60 million euros and not a penny less you odd little man

Levy: *Swiftly exits the room*

Quick summary of the window so far.

So we’ve been crying out for smarter scouting with a data based approach, the club looks to be doing this and everyone is complaining that we are going for cheap options?

Some of our fan base are absolute sponges who think real life is like Football Manager.

Ignore ‘em.

Look at all these gullible fools getting sucked into smarter scouting meaning cheaper signings.

Poor little skint Tottenham again, I'm sure if we're signing cheaper players there'll definitely be the well overdue squad overhaul this window*

(*There won't be, it's not happening)

Seems that way but early days. Signings that would piss me off are the type we've done a lot of over the last several years, Lenglet, Koch, Maquire, Ward Prowse, Traore. Trying to act big but just recycling crap for more crap. Pound shop Chelsea bollocks.

Need both.

Like it or not, the fans putting pressure on Levy via socials need to keep going.

End of the day we need a squad that can compete. Tapsoba AND Tosin gets you closer to competing than either or.

Especially with the lurking shadow of Lenglet as the 2nd CB is still in the back of Levy’s mind as a comfort blanket.
They can see the available season tickets and general bad mood.

They’ll have to take the hostile reaction to everything because they pissed away the last 4 years

Nah, Levy and his shot show circus has earned these fan reactions.

Even if they are massive bed wetters, he hasn’t done enough to earn that trust back yet.

This is my summary:

Vicario > expensive hobbit Raya = vive la data scouting revolución

Tapsoba OR Adaraboiyo with Lenglet as CB #2 = where is my Lakers t shirt, purple and gold all the way you cheap bastard.
We need both and all the cloggers shifted

yup, suppose we pay 40m for Raya, then lestah would refuse anything less than 50m for Madison, tapsoba likewise would have to at least 50m.

We'd blow through nearly 150m without even talking about a backup CB, or any other signings at all.

Some people have no idea how quickly it all adds up.

You said that Jose Mourinho and Matt Doherty would push us to another level, defend Eric Dier with your life and want us to bring Harry Maguire in.

Respectfully, Please do not reply to me again.
I didn't say any of that you complete fucking moron. Don't worry, I won't ever reply to you again because you're normally on ignore but you talk so much shit.

The state of you still obsessed with those 3 names btw when you talked so much utter shit about Ndombele etc.

You're a cretin.

you just want to be on a downer don't you?

YouTube clips also make good players look good.

If you'd watched a lot of him and were unimpressed fair enough, but come on, don't be negative for the sake of it.

????

I’ve never said anything negative about the player himself. I, like everyone on this forum, know nothing about him. I do not watch Empoli play football.

He may well turn out to be a new Buffon. What I find hilarious is the sudden explosion of ‘he’s this, he’s that, these Redditors told me and I’ve watched the YouTube!’.

But what I can work out is that Raya was the main target, and from reports it’s the fee which is the issue. If he wasn’t £40m, he’d be a Spurs player. Which suggests we’re not moving on to this bloke because we’re convinced he’s better, it’s because he’s cheaper.

Otherwise from the start we’d have gone for the cheaper, easier to attain option who happened to be incredible.

I get your point. However the problem with Data is that Data can be shared. And then that results in the rather obvious question “why has no other club been chasing this chap ?” (Maybe they have and we are not party to it)

Data also does not account for some aspects of a person, such as physical presence, stature, interaction and all them sort of human things. Which can be as important to a team as the stats.

At the moment. This transfer has a lot of questions around it, including is he right because he is cheaper ? If Raya was #1 target. We have failed to land the top target again.
