Who from their squad is actually worth looking at... ????

Genuine question, do not watch them at all.

La Liga is broke unless you're Barca or Madrid, so hard to pin it on being poorly run. Lot of clubs in the country seem to be suffering similar problems. Sevilla don't seem to have spent ridiculous money at any point, but the share of TV money which makes up the vast majority of PL revenue just isn't anywhere near as lucrative over there.

But still, as a Sevilla fan you've watched the club lift a whole bunch of trophies, financial issues can't take that away. Surprised this is all rearing its head now, so soon after the big Kounde transfer, winning the EL prize money & qualifying for the CL. Surely that's helped them out a lot?
Yeah, I'm only on a little bit of a wind up, but if they get wound up (highly unlikely) the financial issues over ride everything.

£90m doesn't seem that much in PL terms.

Still unconvinced about LB (mixed reports about Udogie, big TBD tag on him for me) and Kane & Son succession planning, as well as not rating Kulu nearly as much as you do or Richarlison. I'm not totally convinced by depth at CM either.

In terms of being a decent, well put together squad we're not far off. In terms of being a top 4 team with genuine top class, in its prime talent in numerous areas, we're miles off, even if those transfers get done. Especially if Kane walks out and Son continues decline.
I think reguilon deserves another chance. He's not gonna set the world alight, but his big issue was, other than some poor short passing, lack of fnishing, but as a more traditional or inverted FB he might be of use. Maybe more than Udogie who seems to be an out and out WB.

Regui is also quite fast and with our new high line that would be useful.

If you don't mind me butting in. Ocampos is pretty good, very Spanish, good at the tiki taka. En-Nesyri seems good as well, scores whenever I watch. Suso also seems good.

Acuna might be the one for us to go for, old but a very good LB, I saw him a fair bit with Argentina. Not the most technical, but a robust, stocky bastard that likes to run.

En Nesyri is the one who rings a bell, seem to remember him being touted for high fees. Not a clue whether he'd be a reasonable answer to a post-Kane world but seems highly unlikely. Suso is a bit of a blast from the past, always seems to have hovered around the edges of being really good but never quite made it.

From the names mentioned, seems more a team with a decent collective of reasonably technical, proper La Liga players rather than any stand-out potential gems. Can see why Lamela & Gil appealed to them.

Palkin - Shakhtar Donetsk’s chief executive - said of 'free agent' Soloman:
“I contacted Solomon and his agent and invited him back to our club. I said: ‘you can play all the games in Champions League, you will be in the starting eleven’ but he doesn’t want to move and I believe he will stay in England."

“Where he will go? I don’t know. In any case, if you go to Tottenham, we will deal with Tottenham in court in this case. Everything comes to a simple situation: it sounds like unjust enrichment. Can you imagine, we pay big money for this player and finally Tottenham receives him for free? It is not fair in respect of our club. We will definitely go to court and we will fight for ourselves.”

He added: “I would like to send a message to those clubs who are trying to sign our players without paying a transfer fee: Shakhtar will file claims for unjust enrichment against players or clubs who have enriched themselves and benefitted by obtaining a financial advantage.”

I had very high hopes for Reguilon but he does have a tendency to play like a dog chasing a ball. And the fitness issues are a worry.

There was a period though where he was nailing popping up in nice attacking positions and even scored a few.
