I personally have a different idea of how it would turn out. Would be interesting if we could actually test these theses.

Totally! As conte wasn’t gonna sign contract why did we pander to him? It’s not like porro was a massive game changer. In fact we got knocked out of the cup and CL with him in the team. Surely we could have just gone with Doh/spence even royal until the end of the season and then re-evaluated based on the new manager was a d what formation / style they would play. We are now stuck with £40M porro who prbly can’t play rb, royal who sort of can but is shite and spence who is gonna be the invisible man. Complete shit show. I’m sure the results wouldn’t have any worse if we just kept Doh. In fact he was starting g to play a little better.

Agree completely. It's ST or nothing else at all for Richy in an offensive team like ours.

He could play counter ball at Everson as LW/RW but for us where we are trying to control possession and create chances ourselves, he's just not creative enough. Has to be finishing plays rather than creating them.

WDf did we spend £60M on such a limited player. Said 100s of times everyone kept going on about the shite could play anywhere in front 3. Then the apologist change the narrative that he can only play central. I’m if people look at his PL record his prbly played more ganes wide than central.

Since 2019 the club has been a disaster, wrong managerial appointments, huge amounts of money wasted on the wrong players, no plan, let's hope that with Ange we have the right guy and he is backed by the club and the fans with trust and patience.

As a 21 year old, he had a banger of a season to earn himself a move to Juve....... In a world that had Kane, Benzema, Lewandowski, Haaland, Mbappe, Ronaldo still putting up numbers and Lukaku smashing it for Inter; very very very few would have put Vlahovic in the 'best in the world' conversation.

...And those hypothetical few that did would have been laughed off.

If Emerson is a top 4 rb then I’m the pope. He is nowhere near the standard required. Look at all the other top teams would any have royal? I’ve said it many times between cunte and fraidster they have left our squad a mess. Especially knowing conte was not long term and we knew in jan that paratici was already banned.

He’s still a good young player. Juve have been playing turgid football under Allegri. Not creating many good chances for him and often he’s been feeding off scraps.

My point wasn't about who's the better of the two; head-to-head. I responded to the following comment from you:

"[Ange] doesn’t ask his striker to try link up. He wants him to stretch teams by running in behind and be between the posts and in the 6 yard box when it’s wide in the final third."

Be it part or full time; that's a function that Rich would suit.

Paying another 70m for Vlahovic to do that job seems like a bum move given our current squad and who we already have in the ranks..... Particularly when you've simultaneously been extolling Son's suitability as a CF too.

Surely that’s how a DOF model works anyways. Their all club signings which the coach has to then coach not moan like a baby.
