It's so much the case that he's light weight but it's how easily he's knocked off the ball. There are several players - like David Silva, Modric, Alex Sanchez - who were light-weight but yet managed very well in the EPL.

If you look at Modric, he might look lightweight but his thighs were like tree trunks, much thicker than most footballers, and that I think was his secret to being a lot more rugged than he initially looked

He also has great stamina. Man can really cover ground all while without letting his technique and tactical awareness slip.

Again, he’s a young player who’s been badly mismanaged in his development by a Chelsea that’s been a circus the last few years and had a couple of bad injuries.

I’m not saying he’ll definitely be a world beater, but with a bit of love and feeling part of side there’s a lot more from him. And we do need some HG players to balance our squad.
Mate, we're Spurs, not Millwall or Huddersfield. We have / need to beat them, not take Chelsea's failed players or products.

You would think Solomon coming in means Perisic deffo out?
Probably, but, you would think the 30mins off bench role, I keep hearing Ange uses to maximum effect on hard running positions, would be ideal for Perisic as could cover LB to go full out attack, or LWF.

Just think after Contes pre-season, he gassed big time trying to be an up and down player in the prem (and Europe) at 33 was never going to pay off, unless we completely ice him between games like Ledley.

I would love to keep Ivan but it doesn't seem feasible with MS in.
Big wages to sit on the bench.

do we know for a fact Dier hasn't been put up for sale?

if he was 'put up for sale' do you think he would gave interested parties willing to pay for him?

Perhaps I should rephrase that he's not said he wants to go whilst Sanchez has said he wants to go.

With Lenglet gone and Davies not ideal for a 2 CB defence, and Sanchez likely off, that leaves Romero and Dier left, with Spurs needing to sign 2 CB's

I don't think Spurs want to sign 3 CB's as we need funds for other positions, so not sure club will force Dier to leave.

With Dier as 4th choice CB I hope it allows likes of Dorrington the opportunity to make a few appearances, probably off bench

Of course that's just my reading of situation.
