You can call him an eight if you want, but he's not going to suddenly change his play style massively. Yeah we have a lot of central midfielders, who would you trust to start with Hojbjerg gone?
Sarr, Biss, Skipp and hopefully Devine gets a good loan or gets chances with Ange .
Then you have Ange maybe giving Ndombele a chance, Gio ? Not sure if he stays.
Bentancur hopefully comes back before the end of the season but think we could at least come back to central midfield in January and concentrate on the defence

Sarr is a prospect, we have no idea if he's ready to step up yet. Biss will play a lot, but with Bentancur injured and with AFCON around the corner we need another player. Skipp is not good enough at the moment. Devine is a prospect and will likely go on loan. Ndombele is not a player we should rely on until he proves otherwise.

Sarr has already stepped up, we know he can play at this level, played well in the NLD and against AC Milan, he just needs a run of games.

Would take Gallagher tbh.

Homegrown, great engine, decent goal threat.

Maddison -- Bentancur
Bissouma

Ndombele -- Gallagher
Skipp
If Sarr or Devine are deemed ready it's less of a pressing issue but he definitely offers more than they do right now.

(And obviously the above assumes Ndombele sticks around which cannot be guaranteed.)

The Levybots have taken over, Assimilate or die.

This club is going nowhere until those cunts sell up, doesn't matter who we buy in this window.

Ange is the latest fall guy.

Would prefer to give Sarr minutes than spend 50m on Gallagher. if it was 25-30m then maybe.

Even then, IMO Sarr has shown he's a serious talent and well-suited to the deeper 8. Covers ground so easily and is genuinely elegant with the ball and the way he uses it.

If we were looking at a talent like Gabri Veiga, I could understand that more but Sarr makes so much more sense than Gallagher, even if Gallagher has played more games at this point in his career.

No chance it would be 50.

Mount went for 50. It will be 30-35.
