Manager Mauricio Pochettino

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

One positive thing about him going to Chelsea is that if he succeeds and ange fails, I don’t think ENIC can survive that. Levy definitely won’t.

lol why does everyone keep saying this?

What's gonna happen, is the grim reaper suddenly going to some to WHL if Chelsea win the league, you think Levy is gonna say 'well that's it then, time to sell the club' if Poch is successful? 😆

I don't understand what people expect, ENIC couldn't give two fucks either way if Poch is successful or not, their future doesn't even hinge on their own staff's success let alone anyone else's

It's just wishful thinking at this point, people have been saying the same for years about ENIC, it's their last chance, they won't survive this blah blah, it's actually hilarious how many fans delude themselves into thinking that they're suddenly going to up and leave at the drop of a hat.

Delusional supporters who think they have any leverage/control. Said it more times than I can count.

If Poch fails at Chelsea and is sacked within less than 18 months then it will vindicate Levy's decision to not re-employ Pochettino.

My view is that Levy is now back in his comfort zone.

He is employing people who will be subservient to him and are probably enjoying the best job they will ever have in football.

Poch fitted with this criteria in 2014.

The Poch Levy sacked in 2019 had forced Levy to employ 'win now elite managers' or be seen as lacking ambition.

Levy hoped he could low ball the supporters with Nuno in 2021. The majority of Spurs supporters were not ready to embrace more mediocrity and jam tomorrow at this point.

Levy will get away with it until he doesn't any more and his own position becomes untenable.

That eventuality is getting closer.

Your view...

The squad building from them has been so bad that it's hard for me to blame Poch.

You can see why Nagelsmann and Enrique stayed away. I wouldn't be surprised if they went through a manager merry go round similar to Real Madrid in the early noughties. I still don't know who most of their managers were from that decade.

When Poch told the Chelsea board he wanted more lemons in the changing room he didn't realise they would fill it with very overpriced versions of his favourite citrus fruit.
