We need HG talent, and though I'd have preferred to get Alex Scott for 15 mil, I'm fine with Gallagher as long as it's something like 25mil + bonuses.

I'd also like to have one English CB on the roster, just one not named Eric Dier.

As for the forward spots, other than Harry & Madders, I'd look to integrate young Troy. Give him a season, see how he develops after his loans. Pretty risk-free move.

How much have you watched this lad play? I watched him a lot when he played for Palace and he is absolutely nothing like Hojbjerg.

He got the same amount of goals and assists in a similar amount of games as Bernardo Silva did, in a relatively average Palace team

You watched Palace a lot? Poor you :sonpoint:

Gallagher is box to box, an all-round midfielder, does a bit of everything. A bit like Hojberg......imo.

You mention Silva in the same breath as Gallagher, now I would ask you how much have you seen either play :ange-hmm::ange-lol:

just to remind you Eric Dier doesn't count as home grown

We could probably get someome like Locatelli for a similar fee to Gallagher. Would add real class to the midfield.

Having said that i'd prefer Gallagher to Hojbjerg, he's 4 years younger, homegrown and much busier with more goals in him. Just feels like a fairly modest upgrade.
If we went to Juve for a deal, may as well get Rabiot. He's got 5 Locatellis in each leg.

Plus a girl whose last name was Locatelli broke my heart when I was 15 so no thanks.

I speak with fans of other clubs, they think we're shit and done and not part of the conversation anymore.

I tend to agree with them.

Until they prove me wrong I'll continue to be sceptical. Without Kane we'd have finished bottom half last season.

We're not very good.
The whole Kane thing is pure speculation. I could say take Haaland, De Bruyne and Rodri out of the Man City team and the would of come bottom half ignoring the fact Alvarez, Silva and Philips would have played instead.

The problem is last season was a dumpster fire and we probably could have got CL still if we changed managers during the WC.

And if we'd got our new CBs in January.
