Yep, time to settle in and accept that we are also rans and the fans are nothing but cash cows for an investment company.

Might as well cheer on the FTSE 100. No sport to be found at Tottenham Hotspur plc.

Outside of the top 5 teams almost no-one has won anything significant in the EPL era. Does that make 80+teams in the UK — we could start counting other leagues — investment companies?
You’re guaranteed to get ‘sports’ ’ every week.
You’re not guaranteed success anywhere other than a handful of elite clubs. If you want it, I’ll happily provide a list.

Strawman. I’m not arguing that Spurs owners don’t seek a profit.

You do realize that Leyton Orient and Burnley and everyone in between are owned by investors (root= invest) who seek profit and the ownership is probably structured in a similar way to Spurs.

Aren’t we meant to be in the top 6 teams?

If we are just another one of the teams outside the Top 5, what was the point of the stadium?
What did we actually gain from qualifying for the CL that many times?

Our philosopher friend is suggesting that, unlike everyone else, we don’t try to compete in any sporting sense.
I beg to differ. I reject the idea that ‘not winning’ is equivalent to ‘not trying’ and that ‘sport’ only exists for winners which the post implies.

We try but within comfortable financial parameters.

This time last summer we had the perfect opportunity to push on and try to win things.

Levy did what he considered to be trying to win but within the financial parameters he sets.

It wasn’t enough.

It has yet to be enough.

Please understand this simple fact: no one gets binned just because they get foul voted. Admin then has to decide whether there was a breach of the rules. So your silly argument comes down to an accusation that admin would ban someone for being anti-ENIC which is completely ridiculous. Just accept you don’t know what happened and you’ll get to play with your friend in a couple of days.



Anyway - I’m happy with how the transfer market has played out so far. This preseason trip should be a great time for the players to gel. Getting a first choice centreback in would help to calm a lot of nerves on here.
