No matter how people get caught up otherwise; that's not the priority right now........ There's no big fees abound which are suddenly be a game-changer for our purchase intentions. We just need to crack on and get the missing links Ange thinks he needs..... He can them spend the rest of the summer whittling down the chaff at his own discretion.

Every time he sees the squad he learns a little more about them so why rush that process. The right decision > the quick decision.
We've only seen these players once so far. He sees them everyday and I guarantee he'll probably already have a couple that he's done with.

If that is the case, they should be sent home now and told to look for clubs.

Yes get the players in that we need but also start being ruthless with the ones with no future here.

When trying to negotiate a transfer with Tottenham, if there is one thing you shouldn’t do, it’s anger Daniel Levy.

Already a tough negotiator at the best of times, the Spurs chairman can get awfully stubborn, and that’s exactly what is happening after Bayern Munich’s Uli Hoeneß publicly commented on the Harry Kane situation.

Sport Bild bring the latest on the situation on Tuesday, and reveal some more details from a previous meeting Daniel Levy had with the German club for his star striker, and it doesn’t sound good for the Bavarians.

They write that the Tottenham leader made it clear to those responsible at Bayern that ‘he of course knew that Harry Kane only had one year left on his contract’.
Not only that, but he also stated that is doesn’t have ‘any impact’ on his stance, which is the complete opposite to what Hoeneß was hoping for.

They add that the decision makers at Bayern ‘were amazed’ and ’shocked’ at what Hoeneß had said publicly, knowing full well that Levy would not succumb to pressure.

Down his end, Levy ‘is said to be angry’ about the comments, which only added to any anger he already had after learning that Harry Kane had met Thomas Tuchel in London.

In fact, the Tottenham chairman reportedly told friends: “I’m not letting him go for £70m, £80m or £100m!”

Converting that to Euros, that would take the biggest figure to €116m, which seems to be above what the Germans are willing to pay.

And even then, at this point, even if they turned up with €120m, it seems like the damage is already done.

I loved today and it's great that Lo Celso played well but we can't keep everyone.

If Lo Celso is playing his way to stay then who goes instead?

If Lo Celso has added a few million to his price then we need to find a buyer asap.

I am ok with Ange getting to look at everyone but he's got to start making decisions now.

Don't mistake this for panicking or melting though. Just stressing that the whole squad has issues that we really need to start addressing so we can focus on the season proper.

It's simple for me.

Players who can play the 8s (Need 2)
- Maddison
- N'Dombele
- Lo Celso
- Devine

Players who are better in the 6 (Need 1)
- Bissouma
- Bentancur
- Skipp
- Sarr

Don't think PEH fits either role.

If we're selling Lo Celo and binning off NDombele we need serious replacements.

Might be best for Sarr to loan him out for the season.

Like i just said; let Ange worry about any such urgency.... It's really not something fans ought to be worried about.

Rest assured he's not gonna play anyone for the sake of it.

What do you expect if he is not performing on the pitch? Of course there is no need for insults, but if he is struggling to control simple passes, not assisting, or not scoring then he will be criticized. Yesterday someone who went to the training session in Perth said Rich couldn't hit a barn door and today in the match it was the same. This is a continuation from his poor form last season.

The club paid a lot of money and he is on a massive salary. Unfortunately that builds pressure and expectations.
IIRC Kane said Lloris told him that keepers hate those low shots into the corner.

You often see Kane practising such finishing in training when we get clips.

I've seen both Scarlett & Donley finish by strking the ball low into the corner of the net, & I'm sure theyve taken finishing tips from H.

There's zero reason why Richarlison shouldn't be practising his finishing in training, & improving his technique.

Head coaches can insist on this too. I remember what Conte did to Lukaku when he wanted to improve his hold up play.

Shame he didn't spend 3 months improving Richarlison's finishing skills.

--------------------------

[France Football] Lukaku: "For the first three months at Inter, Conte did nothing but train me with my back to the goal. At each training, he would put Ranocchia (1.95 meters, 82 kg) behind me and asked him to go hard against me. Every time I lost the ball, we had to start the drill again."

Numerous times you said it needed to happen "now"; suggesting a degree of urgency.... Just responding accordingly.

(I realise you're some way short of actual panic. LOL)
Yeah that's more how I would do it as I'd rather work with the players who will be here when the real business starts.

Just don't see the point in keeping players out there when he'll prob have a good idea with some that they won't be staying with him.

Just because he’s earning that at Barcelona doesn’t mean that we have to offer him that. Knowing Levy, he’ll offer him half the amount he’s currently earning & with the nominal transfer, if he accepts, Levy will see it as a decent signing. If he turns it down, the vast majority of fans will be relieved
The latest fee I saw mentioned was around 5m E.
Levy will probs bid 3 or 4 M and give a nice signing on fee to Lenglet but no way we pay those big wages and no other club will. We certainly have the upper hand in this one.

proven at what?

you list all those credentials and YET, a direct rival is willing to sell to us. Red Flag.

The idea that Poch would casually let him go ought to serve as further warning too.

I mean; the in-game effort and dynamism appears to be there (and we know Poch likes a young, keen, shape-able player), so wouldn't one naturaly deduce that the footballing/technical elements are what's lacking from his game?
