ENIC In or ENIC Out

Maybe the summer transfer thread would be more fitting for this?

Kind of re-confirms the priorities of these property spivs when the football club should be focusing on 2 new top class centre backs rather than 3 new residential tower blocks .
This is what they are good at though to be fair.

If the profit goes to the FC, I don’t see it as a bad thing assuming the people running these investments have zero to do with football

Levy blah blah blah 😡😠

Cat Working GIF

The Levy Out crowd won't like this and will just ignore it.

I can still counter that - that money was wholly generated by us, the club with zero investment from ENIC. They’ve largely wasted it and spent badly due to poor exec team and strategy, and there is a prior context whereby for the prior five years we spent f all so this spend hasn’t touched the sides. There’s also indirect spend that’s relevant eg wages, agents and I suspect a lot of the spend in the chart is based on total deal sizes with add ons (that are never added on).

the chart proves little, certainly doesn’t show ENIC / Levy are doing a good job from a football perspective. It does show the commercial revenue increases they overseen are yielding great top line and position us well so kudos for that

It shows that we arent scared to spend money like some constantly make out.

DO we often spend it badly, yes. Many clubs do just look at Woolwich with Pepe, Liverpool with Nunez, United with Anthony, Chelsea with Lukaku, Werner (that list goes on).

Spend money better is a completely fair thing to ask of our club

Tight bastards is not really a fair statement anymore.

Yawn.

You know they can do both and likely have people in different departments doing so.

Come on mate, you come across as a smart fella.

Can't really argue with much of this tbf.

Not sure what you mean by the last sentence though.

The only thing I'll add is that we have the 3rd highest spend in that 5 years, whilst having the 5/6th highest revenue, and we've made a loss for the last two years.

That’s a paper loss in fairness. We have to sell players too man, we’ve spent less than a lot of clubs but the net spend is high as we simply don’t sell anybody!! That has to change, churn em quickly

Haha true. I suspect we could have moved players on with more sensible sale prices. We have to clear the decks in the next month, we don’t need 35 players for 40-45 games. I would like to see 10
Sold, 5 loaned and see where we are in Dec.
I haven't seen any prices quoted, bar maybe Sanchez (£9m) 🤷🤷🤷🤷

It wouldn't surprise me if a lot are loaned out for another year to save on wages, or one or two released once the window 8s closed.
