Broadly I’m with you in pushing Sonny up top, but I think you’re making it look a little too cut and dry. There are a couple of concerns…..
We signed Ashley Phillips for £3m, a highly rated CB prospect from Blackburn.
I thought Villa weren’t getting shit done?
They already signed a LCB and now Diaby…

He's not ready, scored 6 goals in the Bundesliga last season.Sell richarlison and with cash get adeyemi from Dortmund. Hes quality.
Seen him a few times on Bundesliga. Always looks dangerous when he gets the ball. Like fast players as well. Do miss Lennon bombing down the wing sometimes causing mayhem. That last gasp equaliser at the gooners will always be special. Gooners were gutted at the end.
Not really, if the player wants to leave and we offer them enough they'll sell like all German clubs do apart from Bayern
We've really put together quite some collection of transfer duds.
I think the attacking players haven't played anywhere near their potential in the past 3-4 years. So you may be underestimating what they can actually produce in a Postecoglou system.I think you’re greatly overestimating the quality of our squad and the general consistency of performance from the rest of the players besides Kane.
I think we already have money put aside for one.

1) Son looked atrocious last season. Let’s hope that’s just the injury but it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that he’s just not as good anymore.
2) Whilst we were excellent against West Ham, we do need to remember is was a very weak West Ham side and a friendly. I’m sure we all agree that we won’t have that level of dominance in all / most of our games next season. When we’re playing against an aggressive team with a high press, having Son up there who has poor hold up play and doesn’t like playing with his back to goal is far from ideal. We’re nowhere near a complete footballing side that can avoid requiring a long ball outlet yet.
It’s definitely something I think we should explore, but I don’t think it’s a certainty that it pans out perfectly by any means.
Personally, I’d love Toney regardless of the ban. He seems to have a pretty good all round game to me and allows you to play in a multitude of ways.
Until they're not. Could be a false dawn, like Everton's a few years back. Remains to be seen if they will have any staying power.
Yeah, but a football team is also based on people and confidence and ours will be fragile at best, especially if Kane goes now.I think the attacking players haven't played anywhere near their potential in the past 3-4 years.
