(Since when did BM struggle to keep hold of their 18 y/o starlets?)

LOL I was just joking but of course history must repeat itself. Bayern kind enough to give us our own Frazier Campbell on loan. But a loan is all it would be most likely.

Tel is a massive prospect and they’d be stupid to give him up permanently btw. He’s 12 years younger than Kane and they just paid £25m for him last year. I highly highly highly doubt they’d give him up permanently.

Conversely though they’ll have the same problem that we had with Harry in that he does not want to rest or miss matches against weaker sides where he can fill his boots, and once he’s in there on big wages and starts scoring he’ll have the sway to say so, so where does that leave Tel? You can’t have young players developing without matches.

I could see it happening with a buyback clause, but fuck buyback clauses.

I just looked up Frazier Campbell to see how he's getting along these days and I can't believe the rookie we got on loan with the Berbatov deal is 35 now. Where does the time go?

Yeah I could see a loan for Tel, but he can also play on the wing as well so he can play with or without Kane. Frankly he’d be a very good partner to Kane similar to how Rashford and Son work well with him.

He’s an insane talent man, you don’t see players like him very often.

I’d argue that Tel even at age 18 already is a comparable player to Kolo Muani for example, not as seasoned or physically strong but a better dribbler with more technical skill. Bayern would be on drugs to let him go permanently…

I literally said in the post you quoted that I’d like to have another LCB.

Calm down and read.
You're backtracking. Your point was that our defence was good enough for 40 goals once, so it should be again. Our point was you're missing the fact that we've changed formation and strategy and it will not be to play to their strengths. Saying we're missing an LCB is like breathing downwind.

People are acting like last season’s goals conceded (shocking) Is the inevitable consequence of the squad that we have. They forget that the season before last we only conceded 40 goals, the fourth lowest in the league, with exactly the same defenders (in fact, arguably worse).

So I think the current players can do significantly better next year with some proper coaching. I’m confident we’ll concede less with a far more attacking style of play.

Of course I want a first choice LCB to come in on top but football fans are goldfish.
This went down well then.......🤷‍♂️
