I thought the popular line was that our CB targets are not here already because Levy is haggling over fees? .....You're saying that's not true?

Again; who other than Tel fits your rhetoric about STs? .......What "Elite" STs did you have your eye on? ...Are we calling Tel "Elite" in this context?

What Levy should do is get these Bayern guys in a room and say:

"Guys guys quick, I have to tell you that PSG have just bid £150 million for Harry! And it turns out he's keen after all, he just told me! But don't panic, you give me that £100 million and because I like you, and I'll talk to Harry and get him back onboard. OK, so do we have a deal?"

If they call his bluff, which is unlikely, he can either knock them out and tie them to a chair or point behind them and shout, "OMG, what's that over there?!" and then run away.

Sure; but I've not contested that.... Quite the opposite.

All I said is that we shouldn't be letting the out-goings get in the way of buying new CBs...... At least getting one; even if #2 did have to wait a little longer.
