First bit is patently false. Most of Son's goals did not involve Kane. Kane has assisted Son more than any player, but that is not an equivalent statement. Likewise, Son has assisted Kane more than any other player.

Kane has had more than the rare bad game. 3 goals in 13 semifinals and finals. And that extends to England duty - is Levy mismanaging the FA now too?

Yes, I've thought my position through. Clearly, you have not. Because all you have is "BuT LeVy Is BaD bAD bAd!"

Run along now.

You're really quite pathetic in your tone.

Please do educate me which players kane had carving out solid chances for kane in these semi finals and finals? Presumably he was supported by all sorts of creative talent who put it on a plate for him?

Haaland didn't score in the fa cup final or the CL final. What an utter disappointment he is. Thankfully city had players like Rodri and Gundogan taking advantage of the space he created..

P.s. remind me how much football have you played again? Have you experienced competitive 11 a side, and have you a real idea of the challenges of being on form in every game?

I also find Gold’s perplexity as to why Kane would be interested in a move to Munich very strange, saying things like “I don’t see how it would be good for the Kane brand to play in the Bundesliga” … what utter tosh.

When has Kane ever come across as a player interested in his “brand” or even financially motivated in any way.

Kane wouldn’t care if no one watches the Bundesliga, so long as he wins one, which he’s almost guaranteed to do at Bayern. He also has an absolutely massive chance of winning a Champions League. Also, by moving abroad he keeps his relationship with the Spurs fans in tact, which he clearly values, whilst simultaneously escaping the absolute farce our club is right now, but also has the possibility to move back to us in the future to see out his career when he’s done what he needs to do in Munich.
Munich is also a fabulous city just a short hop across the water from London.

The move is an absolute no brainer from Kanes POV, I would say.

BM won't be paying Levy eighty odd million to have Kane for two seasons.

When he goes he will finish his career with Ze Germans.

Lenglet. All fucking day long.

Given that we are changing our style of defending, I would be so quick to write off Dier.

He was our best header of the ball last season (70% of aerial duels won). That is not far of VVD's numbers (73%) and puts him in the top 10. Lenglet on the other hand only won 45% of aerial duels.

If we are playing a high possession game (ala Man City) our vulnerability will be on set pieces and defending long balls.

One thing we have strangely never been any good at is tactical fouls in midfield to break up play and transitions. This is often why we get caught with our pants down in defence. If you go back and look at many goals that we conceded, often players were out of position and Dier was left covering players.

Harry is as much to blame for his lack of silverware as anyone else. Not just the Madrid CL final, he's come up small in the biggest moments habitually.

Not to pile on, I love the guy, but this revisionist tosh about how the club has let down the brave and valiant Harry Kane (who threw a strop and tried to force a move to City, having given an interview stating as much before the season even ended, and then sulked about not getting his way for 6 months) is a bit much.

Total bollocks.

How did Harrrrrland fair in the CL Final?

Outside of the PL he didn't show up i.m.o.

3 goals in 13 matches. Across multiple squads. Again, is Levy mismanaging the English National Team?

You've got no meaningful argument. Kane has failed to play well on the biggest stage. As my original post read: he's as much to blame for his lack of silverware as anyone. He gets paid so handsomely to carry the team in the biggest moments. Instead, the best memory anyone has of Tottenham during Harry Kane's career is of Lucas Moura scoring.

We have players like Rooney, lampard, and gerrard who have not performed on the international stage for England. Its a different stage that is beyond our control.

Your argument is overly simplistic and lacks context.

If Kane is fully fit, not run into the ground from trying to do two jobs at once, isnt marked out of the game for being the primary threat (see Haaland CL final) and is supported by creative talent then do we get the same result?

Let's see when he joins an elite club. He also doesn't need to score to be useful in these games if other players chipped in with goals and the weak defence didn't gift the opposition silly errors.

Overall, you've been rude and confrontational to my innocuous comment which isn't even controversial. Its actually factual.

"He was returning from injury in the CL final to be fair to him and better clubs (like the ones you get in latter stages) are effective at isolating one of our few threats. I.e. kane."

I gotcha. Kane has been injured. Not surrounded by good enough players. Had a few bad matches. English players always underperform. Any more excuses why it's all someone else's fault Kane doesn't have any medals?

1 match vs. 13. Hmm.

But it does help if your star player and CF chips in with a goal in a big game.

The difference between Kane and Bale. You always expected prime Bale to win a game single-handedly

I appreciate kane hasn't pulled it out the bag single handedly, but if we want to criticise there are many other things to focus on b4 slating one of the few players who have been consistently top class for the last few years.

He's no bale, but then bale didn't score as many goals as kane either in the league.

I agree. I’m not knocking Harry. He’s a top-class talent but prime Bale is in a different league. Generational.
If I had to pick one or the other to turn a game, my money would always be on Gareth.

He had some good qualities, and got the best out of a number of players, but at no point did I ever feel under him that we had the tactical edge over our rivals, or that our side was or would ever be more than the sum of it's parts.

The "just fackin' run araand a bit" instructions to Pav seems to sum his Management style up in a nutshell.
Tbh we could probably say the same about Ange. I think some people are getting away with this notion just bcos he plays attacking football he must be a good coach. Let’s see how does v say Emery at villa. Can he do what what you are saying harry couldn’t?
