They signed Loftus cheek and Pulisic, neither of which I’m very fond of.

Chukwueze will probably end up being an 80m player in a season or so though.

Pulisic if he can stay fit will torch Serie A.

Loftus-Cheek is a strange one but also why I'm not fussed by Kessie. The level of athleticism in the prem kills any advantages RLC has for strength or athleticism. In Serie A he will have those advantages like Kessie did.

Never forget that Levy paid £2m more for Rodon than he could have paid for Kim Min-Jae.

:moursmall:

Never forget no other club willing to pay much for Kim Min Jae when he was in China - they wanted $ 10m, they rejected our $ 5m bid.

At end of that window Chinese club accepted the best bid from a Turkish club, circa $ 6m so he went there. After a season he was sold on again.

Shame we didn't take a real punt on him when he was in China - but no european giant did either. All the big clubs under estimated his potential despite scouting him. It happens

i believe so too, we were strongly linked when he was in turkey. Regardless Levy gave Jose Rodon unstead of Skriniar.
At that point if we paid for money i think he would have acutally come for Jose
Skriniar is deffo the guy Mourinho wanted that summer of 2020, fits right into his style of CB as well - late 20s, great in a deep block. Etc.

Get mad at Levy over that.

Kim though? Nope, I’m not having that at all. When he joined Napoli all we heard was that Sonny was the one begging the higher-ups to sign him.

Gabbanini probably deserves some credit, when we hired him one of the upsides was his extensive scouting networks in South America.

Nah, this is all Levy remember........... Absolute cunt stinking up the window.

Aside; I see a pattern forming....

Vicario
Van Der Ven
Veliz........

....Vinicius Jr. :ange-arms:

Nope and I'm going to keep repeating the claims about Levy consulting the fraudster whether you like it or not.

Dance Party Dancing GIF
Hopefully someone will come to the conclusion Levy isn't acting within the laws of the game.
Then we could see Paratici, Lewis AND Levy in the dirt

Veliz has way more first team football than either.

Argentine league is a higher level than Devine or Scarlett have played too.

All you are saying is that Veliz has been given the opportunity and taken it with both hands to get experience.

But the Argentinian league is not that high a standard so the consensus is probably that he needs to spend 6 - 12 months on loan there so as to get much more experience there so the transition to PL is not so great.

FYI, Scarlett has played over 30 games in League 1 last season, probably closer to Argentinian League standard than PL (circa 50% of Veliz no of games over 2-3 seasons), so its not an unreasonable comparison.

Much closer than trying to compare Veliz to a more established player

And Scarlett will definitely need a 2nd (and maybe 3rd ) loan season before he joins the first team squad at Spurs, so he's a little behind Veliz in development,

Rooney in the biggest matches would have made more of a difference than Kane, in my opinion.

Not changing that view.
Rooney was inferior for England to Kane.
Rooney may have helped Man United over the line far more often than Kane helped Spurs over the line.....but....
Rooney was in a dominant, Ferguson managed United, surrounded by world class players who were all used to winning.

Kane may not have helped us over the line, but in many cases, we were only at the line because of Kane. People miss that.
