Just saying Kessie is open to going Saudi

Over My Head Reaction GIF by MOODMAN

yeah, some people just have fantastic balance, are fearless and can read the game well. The game is full of Skinny minis. Players get older, fill out and learn more about the game as they age, that's not really anything to do with bulking up.

Bale was lacking confidence, he was ok at Southampton, then he got signed as the next big thing and he had this huge weight on his back. The press then ran the line 'Spurs lose whenever Bale plays' and it hounded him.

Once he had his confidence and belief restored he was fine, not by having a third shredded wheat.

Bale bulked up massively and you are delusional if you think that it didn’t play any part in what he went on to become.

I'm so tired of signings going on loan right away. We need improvement to the first team now.
Spot on. A club can’t always be building for the future without addressing the here and now.
It is of course a crucial part of a clubs development and planning but it can’t always be jam tomorrow.
The time for all the talent of tomorrow should have been while we spent 2 years signing nobody at all because the first team was performing so well under Poch. Anyone could see that the cycle would end rapidly. It always does in football. It’s how clubs forward plan. And we didn’t when we really should have.

i believe so too, we were strongly linked when he was in turkey. Regardless Levy gave Jose Rodon unstead of Skriniar.
At that point if we paid for money i think he would have acutally come for Jose
This has been put straight many times before.
This all occurred pre-Mou.
We offered Beijing Guoan 5m. They wanted 10m which was unheard of for a player who had never played at a level above the Chinese Super League.
They sold him to Fener for 3m which was below our offer because they couldn’t extract EPL tax.

Regardless, it was the more logical deal to do. KMJ had a huge ceiling as he has gone on to prove. He was the natural choice for a team with the highest profile player SE Asia has ever produced. Even from a commercial point of view the interest from the Asian continent would have been off the charts. Tickets, shirt sales etc etc. Penny wise, pound foolish. We would have been raking it in rather than trying to pimp out Rodon at a loss.

Only chance Lo Celso goes is if we get a massive offer, in my opinion.

At least he's hard working and has shown to have the right attitude. Both under Jose and now Ange.

Had about 6 games where he did a lot of hard running, but no goals, assists nor even key passes, then PL suspended for covid and Lo Celso injured again so didn't play in the last 6 games of the season after the covid break.

So he's high risk as to whether he will perform to anything like the level that we thought we had bought - and not go off to. play for Argentina when fully fit so arriving back injured which he did several times

So any offer over £20m and I'd be tempted to take and re-invest in a better prospect.

He's fine as Maddison back up, chill.

But the point is Spurs only regarded him as a punt, and other bigger teams didn't even bid as nobody believed his potential was as large as it was - and probably only reason we bid as high as we did was because Son was bending the club's ear.

So he's definitely one 'who got away' but at the time all clubs thought he would not become the player he has

That's not what happened. He grew into a man when he destroyed Maicon he was not the Ronaldo clone he became. He was at his apex when he carried that AVB side he was not the muscular beast vanity project that actually became detrimental to his body. Bulking up had next to nothing to do with the natural physical attributes the boy had sorry, I just do not agree with you. So that's two delusionals

I disagree totally. What we are doing now in this window from what I can tell (& what we did with Rodon) is fish where the big boys don’t venture until the smaller clubs have taken the “punt”.
If Son was bending the clubs ear (if) then the club should have taken note and gone the extra yard. Rodon was the alternative punt and it’s not turned out well for the lad’s career or the club. At least with KMJ there would have been even more feverish support coming our way - which means money- which Daniel clearly likes very much.
It was a complete fuck up. As was selling Dembele for peanuts in the January window when we could have wrapped him in cotton wool. A fresh Dembele in the CL final makes the difference. We didn’t even replace him in that window!
Different examples of where money grabbing and penny pinching have hurt the club.

I would add that over bulking probably contributed to his injury list and cut his career short.

i never mentioned anything about china, or jose. i said we were interested in him when he was in Turkey. Which we were both in the jan transfer window of 2021 and then again in the following summer
