Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Mainly because I didn't think Levy would show this sheer stupidity. Three days before our opening game. As I've said, I knew he was stupid, but not this stupid.

This situation is unlike any in our history. Kane has continued playing. Continued training. Reports of him being happy to stay here if no agreement. His camp saying he will be staying if he's here for Brentford etc.

To not just get this done two weeks ago if this was always going to be the outcome is ludicrous. Fuck the money, he cost us fuck all.
It could be worse, it could be 3 days before the end of the window.

Little things, I know.

Would be ridiculous to sell now. He's played the whole pre season and we are ready to go in a few days times. Add to that having to scramble around and panicking for a replacement and being quoted ridiculous fees. It should be done now we need to get our heads down all come together and focus on this season and doing something special here.

Kane isn't really pushing for this, so wouldn't it make more sense for him to just run his contract down?

Just one more season with Ange, Harry. Then you can go wherever the hell you like. You obviously don't care too much about going to Bayern as you would City or Madrid.

Agree 100% on that point.

No point making a stand and getting an extra 10 million if it isn't spent and if it derails your pre-season.

Plain daft and one must believe that Postecoglou knew it was likely and is either seething or relieved.

Either way I think it's unhelpful but now no more rumour upon runour.

The media have their wish and can hopefully now leave us alone.

Kane and Richarlison played exactly the same number of minutes.

Personally I think this makes absolute sense for all parties. Bayern need to replace Lewandowski's goals, they're not a rival or competing against Spurs, Kane is almost guaranteed to get the "trophy" monkey off his back and Spurs get a reasonable fee for a player with a year left on his contract.

It also gives a very reasonable chance of a return to Spurs in a couple of years if all parties fancy the move.

I don't want to see him in the shirt of another PL club, thanks.
So you'd rather us enter a season missing our best player and with the kick of in 3 days, leaving the manager with no option but to play Richarlison up top than risk the small chance that he joins Chelsea next summer?

I really don't understand your mentality or the mentality of people like you, thats all but killed our chances of doing anything meaningful this season

I'm conflicted. I of course don't want him to go anywhere, but if we get a large fee this year versus nothing next year, then I suppose we have to reluctantly accept it.

4 weeks ago Bayern have offered 75M
I'm not saying he should have accepted what they offered then. He should have told them what it will take then. Made it absolutely clear it wasn't going to go on for weeks on end and then leave us short, and miss the opportunity for pre-season.

But he's done it again. I appreciate there is a price for everyone. I don't disagree with selling now (this window)
I just hate that yet again, as he always does, he's dragged it out to the 11th hour.

Tbf Bayern are the biggest club he could go to and be the star player, so it makes sense. He'll score a stupid amount of goals in the Bundesliga and challenge for the CL.

He could definitely be like Lewandowski and Benzema and play well into his 30's, so it doesnt have to be hist last big move.
