Ex-Spurs Player Harry Kane

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Really excited about the new season now. If Ange is given the freedom to run these boys as he would like. Then we will get a fast, commited team. Put the handkerchiefs away and get behind the club.

Madison and the rest are the new Spurs.

COYS.

Everyone would have accepted this a week or so ago
Really?

The most galling thing is how pleased he will be with exerting his influence and maximising the price. clueless little runt

Penny wise pound foolish, never grasping the bigger impact of his pig headed approach
I remember the days on here when people used to celebrate Levy winning a 'transfer battle' like we'd won a trophy.

:mourweird:

Hopefully we don't start seeing a repeat of those embarrassing shenanigans

The BIGGEST IRONY in all of this, is that to be perceived as a GREAT fan... you don't necessarily have to support a winning team... In fact, it's almost the polar opposite!

We could ALL support Real Madrid or Man City.... But those are GLORY fans... London based Utd/Liverpool fans are ridiculed.... And rightly so!

But SOME fans support Shrewsbury, or Motherwell... they won't win anything, but the FANS support regardless.

They're TRULY great fans...

Yet somehow, to be considered a great PLAYER, you have to join an instantly guaranteed Title winning team.... to cement your greatness!! Otherwise it somehow doesn't count?

Bollocks!

Don't make sense mate!

I still cannot believe what levy has done here, utter utter shambles the way this has been dealt with. An extra couple mil to ruin the start to the season and all excitement going into it.

Everyone would have accepted this a week or so ago, but on the eve of the season and not even for serious money. Fuck this board

It's apparently £95m for a player with one year left on their contract.

:deledoubt:

In all seriousness, what is this 'for a couple extra mil' narrative I'm seeing crop up here today? The selling price has substantially gone up over these negotiations, not just marginally.

Furthermore are we pretending that transfer sagas like this always get done before nearing the end of the window? Fuck, Bale was sold on the 2nd of September that year. We aren't the only club to not have our squad entirely done and dusted before the opening game (see: other top 6 etc transfers). Is it perfect? No, but I won't act like this has been some sort of wildly shambolic handling of a sale.

Wasn't this the same Chris Sutton telling us we should sell him/he should leave to win trophies??

Yeah, Chris Sutton, the archetypal journeyman player LUCKY enough to have been at the right place, at the right time with Blackburn...

Hanging on Shearer's coat-tails like the 'straight man' in a comedy double act!

...and now he knows best?

Absolute clickbait boring wanker....
... and there seem to geca fair few of them knocking around the media now

Stiiiiiilllll, as long as they're happy Kane has left Tottenham, we can all pick up the pieces and get in with our lives...

Still fucking hurts though!
Sutton is an odious cunt.

I'm still not quite understanding why, as per several reports, Super Agent Pini Zahavi has been conducting our negotiations with Bayern.

Zahavi will want a cut, that's his raison d'etre. But why would Levy, the self-styled master negotiator, willingly agree to chuck a few million Zahavi's way?

Speculatively, I wonder if Zahavi is involved because he will be facilitating transfers we want to complete as & when Kane agrees to sign for Bayern?

If it really is "his choice" now I think its worth noting he has a young family - 3 kids, and hasnt Kate got another one coming... does she want the kids in England near the rest of their family, or in Germany, away from everything theyve known up to now?

I'm sorry but this reeks of agenda. Could someone of this age really be so naive when it comes to how football transfer negotiations work, or is it simply an attempt to twist the knife into Levy?

Absolutely agenda, this whole situation is shit but if Kane has no intention to extend his contract and Levy has got Bayern to pay almost £100m, then he’s played an absolute blunder with very little leverage.

There are two transfers in history for players over 30 years old that exceeded £40m. Ronaldo to Juventus for £105m and Pjanic to Barcelona for £54m. It’s a staggering amount of money to get for Harry, especially with one year left on his deal.

Blame Levy for the fact it’s gotten so bad that Kane won’t resign, blame Levy for his inevitable squandering of the Kane money, but he’s played the wank hand he’s been dealt with Bayern as well as he possibly could have.
