No - my example was to show that you have excluded them ARBITRARILY.
But it's not arbitrary is it...
Do you know what the word arbitrary means?

It makes sense to count spending when the payments begin.
Right, does that include a loan fee?

If there's a 30m player with 3m initial loan fee, with 27m spread across next 4 seasons, compared to:
a 30m player with 30m spread across 5 player, with 3m upfront and 27m spread across next 4 seasons...

It's a distinction without a difference.

Since I made that comment you have explained so I agree it’s not arbitrary because you have reasons.

You haven’t engaged properly with the reason why clubs structure deals like this so your argument seeks to make both the clubs motivations and the actual full ownership of the player irrelevant. Those things are relevant so your argument is not convincing.

I’d stay away from Eze. Would have preferred Scott or to just develop Devine.

I think we should reinvest this money on Orban and Tapsoba.

Hopefully, sell Ndombele and Højbjerg too. Genuinely don’t think we need another midfielder if they go. This is a rebuild, let’s see what we have with GLC, let Sarr develop, let Bissouma settle, take leadership and let Bentancur recover and let’s finally see what we really have with Skipp. Maddison we already know.

In addition to this, one more season of Kulu and Son on the wings and we will know for sure next season whether we need new wingers or not and whether Solomon is ready to take on a starting responsibility.

This is a rebuild, let’s see what we have from those that we are still not too sure about!

Hopefully sell/loan Spence, Tanganga and one of our other CB’s too (hoping it’s Dier but likely to be Sanchez imo).

GOAT GOAT

Reason I'm against signing Eze is two fold:

1. I don't rate him as highly as 60m... he's already 25 so won't necessarily improve that much. I watched a bit of Palace last season, and he was on similar level to Olise and Zaha. Palace's attack didn't even score that many goals.

2. We already have many players at LW: Son, Solomon, Perisic, Rich, Gil (injured)
And at No.6 position in midfield we have: Maddison, Bissouma, GLC, Sarr

So I don't think it makes any sense to spend the bulk of the Kane money on him. Surely better to go for Orban at CF and BIG on another CB?
Eze is versatile though.

Helps us at 8/10/LW.

Also homegrown.

Earlier last season I’d have agreed with you but it all clicked for him at the end of last season under Roy. He’s in the process of breaking out into a legit star

Also, his story of being dropped by big clubs is a perfect fit for Ange underdog mentality

GOAT GOAT what exactly do you disagree with?

I love how you are always the only one who disagrees with my posts (you’re in the right to, but curiously always the only one).
