Match Brentford fc vs TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR/ Sun 13th 14:00

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Very promising signs tbh. Think we controlled a large majority of that game but a draw probably a fair result considering they missed a sitter.

I trust Richarlison but we definitely need an alternative option and can't just rely on him. We also need a right sided forward imo and of course another CB.

Thought our full backs were very good, Bissouma MOTM, 2 (or 3 including Sanchez) centre backs looked comfortable, Skipp and to a lesser extent Sonny poor, Maddison good, Richie worked hard, Kulu meh.

Very few teams will go there and win. They offered nothing apart from counters and it’s very difficult to play against a team that parks the bus.
Negative part of today was the right side of the pitch. The game is far too slow when the ball is on that side of the pitch. Sanchez,Royal and Skipp play with no pace. Royal was nice and tidy but takes an eternity to pass it and if he’s going to play there which I don’t think he will at home as much then he has to pass and move quicker. The way the game was going and how we were dominating then Porro is a better option in my opinion. The tempo of the game went up as soon as it goes to VDV,Madders and Udogie.
Biss was absolutely fantastic today. Madders pure class and Udogie and VDV excellent.
Against teams who are a bit more open we will destroy them.
Felt sorry for Richy as he worked like hell and had a couple of decent chances which resulted in a great block and a decent save.
At the end of the day we dominated a game when we aren’t up to full speed yet and drew due to a wrong decision for the penalty and a deflected goal. Also didn’t think it was a foul by sanchez leading up to their second.

Anyone know if Romero misses next week because of the concussion rules. He didn’t want to come off and was raging.

Add another couple of very good players to that group and we will be very good this season.

We will be an animal at home this season.

Not an easy place to go but a bit disappointed with that second half.

For all the talk of Ange's rock and roll, all out attack football, we looked content just knocking the ball around quite casually. Never really tried to win that.

I think the key issues to resolve before the window closes are:
- 1 or 2 CB upgrades. Sanchez wasn't a disaster but I reckon we win that game with Romero on. We simply need better rotation options than we currently have
- Anything good we do comes through Maddison and right now we don't have a real alternative if he's out. We can't bank on Gio. This is why the Eze links make sense to me. We are really fucked without Maddison in our current setup
- We need another forward. Ange is currently working with square pegs in round holes. I'm not convinced Son and Kulu will cut it.
Mate,it’s so difficult to break down a team with everyone behind the ball. They were so organised.

Technically we didn't use a concussion sub so theoretically as long as he's cleared by the medical team should be fine to go again vs United.

Sat in Mallorca by a pool and managed to catch a bit based on a steam posted here. Whoever post3d it, I raised a glass in your honour - cheers.

as for the game… biss is a total baller. Apart from that there were loads of positives. We aren’t going to be playing ange ball within a couple of weeks, will take a couple of months for sure.

as for the new players being shaky… give them some time

A draw was anything but a fair result. They didn't have a clue what to do other play with a 10 man defence

Brentford are a tough team though, you have to give them respect. We did well to score two goals, they are extremely hard to beat. With some better luck neither of their goals would have even happened.

Definitely we need to get our attack going though, you can see how badly we have relied on Kane all these years. The front three ran around but never looked like scoring a goal.
That is true but with more luck Mbeumo wouldn’t have missed his sitter.

With everything in the balance (luck and lack of), maybe the score was fair.

And on my non-stream, they said that if you are substituted for concussion you have to rest 7 days minimum.

Anyone knows if that´s the case?

Apparently ours wasn't a concussion sub because of incorrect paperwork

I wonder if using the concussion sub automatically triggers a waiting period that must be adhered to and by using a normal sub allows the medical team to make the call.

Maybe the incorrect paperwork was deliberate and maybe jet fuel doesn’t melt steel beams…
