I assume you'd have rathered Caicedo for 115m over Bissouma, Maddison, Sarr and Bentancur for £95m?
The window is still open though? Why have a fire sale now when there are still a few weeks left , its a bit Like supermarkets with the out of Date Fresh Food, it gets cheaper the closer it gets to going off and you wouldn't have 95% of some prime beef if it still had 2 weeks left before it goes bad......
I'm sure like any manager he'd have done his research beforehand. Winks left early so why not others? Did he not want to see what he could do? The list of potential outs pretty much mirrors what we all expected and predicted bar perhaps Lo Celso (i still think we'd accept a decent offer).
Obviously lots won't happen until deadline day as for outgoings.peope will then see how desperate we are to get them gone and most then will probably be loans again

It’s more the attitude to the market than the actual players we are signing. I think we have signed good midfielders for that £95m.
It’s just that Levy would never spend £100m on one player. Even if that player would be perfect for the team, was proven quality and someone the manager personally asked for, he would never do it. Never. Even if we could afford it. He would never do what Bayern did with Kane or Woolwich did with Rice.

The dippers have exposed the risk of making huge bids only to learn the player would rather be a chav. Amusingly, every selling club in the world now knows they have north of £100 million in their coffers, so up go the prices to yanited ripoff levels.
Whislt I share the frustration at not getting players in post-Kane, since Paratici rocked up we have been fairly good at closing deals without getting gazumped or turned down.
Signing Bissuoma for £25 million was outstanding work.
Signing players from friendly agencies - notably BASE - helps too.
It may well be that we're exploring moves for the likes of Vlahovic & Eze (if we sell GLC to Barca & PEH to AtMad). But other clubs will be interested too, andwe need to be reasonably certain we can do the deal before showing our hand.
That's the positive view of what's going on.
The more negative view is we don't know what we're doing & won't splash much cash.
The one thing I'm fairly confident about is that Ange now has a good sense of what he has in the squad, who he wants to keep & develop, and the types of player he wants to sign.

I guess my first mistake was taking a World of Hotspur tweet seriously.
That seems like alot for an unproven centre back, back up striker and an unsuited winger.
Do you have your backup options?
They've got Martinelli and Trossard who play his position of LW.
Just pay the fee and get it done.

This would be a pretty disastrous use of the Bayern money. Not cos he's a bad player. He's quick and done pretty well adjusting the to the PL in a chaotic Forest team last year. Just don't think he fixes a single issue we have. He's a counter attacking player, like Son and Deki, not someone who's gonna break down a packed defence when we're pushed up on them.
