That’s always the case for any manager. It does sound as though there is better alignment than with previous, abrasive managers…. If they move on all players he doesn’t want, that’s a big win IMO

He’s also said he can’t control who actually leaves so can’t burn bridges with the players he wants gone.

I guess what he’s saying is he makes the decisions but the club executes them. If they can.

Which very obviously never happening.

If I'm Spurs, the only reason I'd ever consider enquiring is if I thought it might manipulate the price into a region other clubs can't afford so the player ended up not leaving and generating extra funds for them.

But that would be a massive long shot because ultimately you can't control what they choose to accept late in the market.

So I'd probably not bother with the skullduggery and focus on the players I actually want.

Skipp's younger and HG...

I do agree that it's not certain Skipp is going to fit Ange but for the money he'd generate, you'd have to guess he gets a season before that decision is made.


Hoj is maybe handy for closing out games but also nearly cost us a goal by giving the ball away and is not in the stage of his career where he wants to play that role. he will consider himself a starter on a CL team and he should get that at Atleti. We should get 25-30m Everyone wins.

I still reckon 14 non penalty goals is a particularly great return

Ange cannot get a full squad they he wants in this window. If PEH and/or Skipp are not really suited but stay in this window Ange will need 2-3 window s to replace both of them. We’d have PMS, YB and RB to play alongside JM until the squad in complete.That’s not too shabby.

I thought seeing out a game is not in Ange’s philosophy. Hasn’t he said if you are leading you keep trying to get another goal.
 
I know I've probably already mentioned this, but I still find it funny how we don't seem to feature at ALL on the BBC Gossip page now that Kane has gone...

We/He was literally on there every day ... To the point where I swear they just 'Cut & Pasted' his name on the top to make SURE it was being mentioned every single fucking day until he left!

Now, not a peep about who we might sign...

Nada...
Niente...
Zilch...
