If we don’t want them, who gives a fuck whether they go to Fulham or Fiorentina?
None of our cast offs are going to a rival.
I did snigger at that.
And in the unlikely event that they were wanted by another PL club, they’d be going next year anyway.
They have no value to the club if they are in the last year of their contract and do not figure in the plans of a manager who has just been appointed. They’ll be gone before Ange regardless.
Gaaaaah this is simple economics

If WE are paying their wages - WHY would WE want them playing for another club against us?
Make the fuckers sit at home watching us on MOTD but under no circumstances should we pay them to play for some one else.

That threat alone should make them look for a new club and willingly remove themselves from the wage bill. THAT saves us money and gets rid of the player.

I need to watch more European football. Whenever we're linked with a player I know little about (Pepe the latest example), I take comfort from the fact I can come on here and read about how crap they are.

Those players with no pride in themselves or their careers will do that anyway.
Who wouldn’t agree to having their contract being paid off if they weren’t in the new managers plans and were going for nothing in a years time anyway?
It would be shit advice to push them to stay when they can take their money up front and be free to negotiate a new deal with a new club.
It drives me nuts to think that people think that most players would prefer to train with the reserves rather than get on with their careers elsewhere.
They’d have to really love the club to hang around like a drunk bloke in the erection section at the end of a blurry night in a club.

Why would they?

In reality we think that all footballers want to play every match and think about football all the time but they also have life plans, for example we don't know if Dier has a plan to sit on his contract for a year and then plans to move abroad or elsewhere and have a fresh start next Summer. We don't know if it's family related or self motivation, could be for any reason, so with that in mind you stay at a club which have great training facilities, based in London on a hefty wage, you can see why they'd stick around.

You can't just create a culture of ripping up contracts just because the club don't see you as an asset anymore, do you know how bad that looks on your balance sheet, even State backed clubs don't do that.

Ndombele - £10.4m remaining on his contract
Dier - £4.42m remaining on his contract
Lloris - £5.2m

You all want to give them £20m to go away? £20m to go and sign for no fee for a PL team and play against us, at our expense.

Use your common sense. It'll cost us exactly the same to make them sit at home getting fat.

Barnes is also older with more PL experience and just hit double digit goals for the first time in his career.
Barnes really would have been a really good shout.

For the Richarlison defenders:
Barnes scored as many goals playing on an even worse team than Everton as an out and out winger, was considerably cheaper and is home-grown. I’d trade him for Brazil’s number nine in a heartbeat.

Not true. My man in the know reckons Ndombele has caused the catering budget to exceed by 30%.

The point is they shouldn't be hindering us making new signings.

Banish them to the U21/rip up the contracts whatever but using them as an excuse for inactivity doesn't wash.
