You've got a worrying obsession with penalties.
You still have to score them you know. We've just lost our super reliable penalty taker who has hardly missed on over the years for us.
Because even if you get 10 penalties in one season, a good penalty taker might make 8/10 and an average one 7/10 which is a whopping 1 extra goal.

But it’ll show up as 8 extra goals for the primary penalty taker and that’s extremely misleading to the value it actually provides.

Ange said we weren’t looking to replace him directly, ie we aren’t looking specifically for a tall, clinical number 9 who is also a world class playmaker. Because there is no such player. That doesn’t mean he doesn’t want a new forward to replace him.
If we're getting a right winger like Johnson that's just not a Kane replacement in any real sense.

If anything I have an obsession with non-penalty goals. Richarlison can score penalties, we need someone who can score from open play.
Anyone can score pens. Any decent players on this board could score 3 to 5 out of 10 against pro keepers. Most/all pros can score 6+ out of 10 with a large sample size. The difference between elite and average penalty takers is about 10%, which is maybe a goal or 2 a season.
