Why not?

If we can get a press resistant 6 in to cover for Boss that’s a better fit than Hojberg, why hold onto Hoj to come off the bench for 20 mins here and there?
because he will improve them massively.
I know the general consensus on here is that he's not very good but he has interest from clubs like United and Atletico and i'm pretty sure he'd be a starter at both clubs. If we have to sell him then we sell to a foreign club or not a top 4 rival.

Would they really sell Palmer? Seems more likely they’d send him out on a loan.

If they’re willing to sell then we should pursue him for sure.
Pep said stay or sell, no loan (god knows why).

If they sold him they'd probably look to send him somewhere he'd be a star man with a buyback clause and a hefty sell-on fee, they won't want to just hand him to a fellow big six side to finish developing.

If we do sell PEH to United, we're probably getting a lot of money back.

PEH has probably peaked. For whatever reason Ten Hag wants PEH when they can probably do way better.

He only has 2 years left on his deal and doubt he's part of this club's project.

No reason to keep him this season.

What this does is help increase the price, especially with united they are stupid the prices they pay which would help us, although i'd rather he went abroad or atleast not a direct rival.

He will fit in superbly with how their one paced, shit MF has started the season

He’s good at what he does.

That doesn’t fit us very well.

I’d straight swap for Sancho yesterday

Following the game, Guardiola admitted that Palmer could leave the club this summer despite his goalscoring exploits.

He said: "The opinion I had when he arrived is he wanted to leave, but now I don't know what's going to happen.

"I don't think a loan is going to happen. He's going to stay or going to sell, but I think a loan is not going to happen."

It's great that we do, but your argument was that we need one. I was just pointing out that in an Ange system, which very closely mirrors Pep's, we can do just fine without one.
I think we need another yes. Mainly because Son is off the back of his worst season with us and no guarantees he'll get back to form. Even if he does he'll be 32 next summer with 12 months left on his contract. We're not Man City. Ange had a striker for Celtic last season who scored 34 goals in his system.

I agree, but for manure the price goes up, i would be ok for 50M
Once Ten Haag gets the hots for a player he previously coached, yanited ALWAYS overpay.

Plus they're direct rivals.

So I raise your £50m.

If ETH wants PEH, it's £50m plus yanited's best HG youngster.

More seriously, if PEH gets offers from both AtMad & yanited, there is no way he agrees to stay at Spurs as a back up squad player.

So we should cash in and target the likes of Eze.

Or, a/c to the "ITKs" on the other site, Joao Palhinha at Fulham as the DM destroyer.
