You can (and will) continue to make deflective comments all evening Shady, but the stark reality is that our squad is severely lacking top level talent in attacking areas (and at CB beyond the 2 starters), having sold our 30 goal star CF.
There’s legit cause for concern.
You’re a smart poster generally, I don’t think it’s necessary for you to go on the defensive and embarrass yourself like this. The rhetoric is OTT, it always is, but all genuine spurs fans should be a little concerned by our depth in certain areas right now.
Ange looks great, but he’s not a miracle worker. We have to support him with more tools.
Not fussed about Fati at all. A straight loan is a shit deal, add the huge wages we’d have to pay.
I’m confident Johnson gets done, and that’s who Ange wants.
I’m seeing a lot of people complaining about the window. Everyone’s entitled to their own opinion, but I think we’ve addressed important areas. GK, CB, LB, CAM have all been sorted m.. granted Udogie was last summer.
Johnson and maybe another CB would be great, but I’m happy if we get Johnson.
Yes we sold Kane, but he wanted to go and we’d have just been delaying the inevitable.
Let’s judge it come May.
Wonder if people stopped melting down that they'd realise that Fati loan with no option/obligation was a shit deal for us.
Apparently not, Charlie Kane has allegedly taken up the role on a temp basis until we can find a more permanent replacement. Levy seems to like the fact he can't read or write, so it seems he fits in well with our way of going about things in the transfer window!
Just weird.
Add Vicario and Porro to that list.
What we learned yesterday is that the Ange Revolution is paper-thin.
It's not about this deal making or breaking the window. It's the lack of ambition in display that it's not even sad at this point, it's disturbing. We've sold our greatest ever goalscorer and we're ending the window on a POSITIVE net spend, in an age where clubs like Burnley are spending £100+M.Wonder if people stopped melting down that they'd realise that Fati loan with no option/obligation was a shit deal for us.
That’s an excellent point. The answer probably belongs in the ENIC thread in truth (which I have on ignore). How about expanding fan base home and abroad by winning trophies?
Yeah I don't buy this for a minute. We would have got him in earlier or at least had strong links 2 months ago if he was Ange's main attacking target. Why are people falling for this ‘BJ is the one Ange wants’ rhetoric?
Because Ally Gold, the club mouthpiece said so?
It’s clearly the club leaking this so we be seen to back our manager.
Makes me laugh that we all ridicule the SC ITK (me included) but people spout this BS about knowing exactly who Ange wants.
What we learned yesterday is that playing a full B-team is and always he's been a shit idea....
Yeh, if 9 of our starting XI get injured then yeh we're fucked. That's not a news flash for us and 99% of other teams.
Some of those lads that played yesterday have already shown the can rotated or be subbed into the first XI and do what they're paid to do.
Just a thought but maybe we have done the deal for BJ and dropped interest in the injury prone guy?
You have to believe ITK for that to be the case.I am not so bothered bout Spurs did not get Fati but it's very upsetting and disturbing that after he was identified as Spurs target and wrapping up 99 % of the deal they lose out to Brighton.
If Romero or Bissouma get injured Davinson and Pierre have to play. What we learned yesterday is that playing a full B-team is and always he's been a shit idea....
