They were a bit lucky but you cannot ride your luck for 38 matches and win the League. You have to be a very good team on top of getting that bit of good fortune too.

We got the good fortune early last season but history shows that we were not very good.

And that is the difference between us and Leicester.

We're not looking for players who "can play in the Premier League", we're looking for players who can make a step up to Spurs and fit the system.

Mate, they had Kante and Mahrez who nobody had heard of at the time. They had some very good players on top of those two. Players like Vardy, Drinkwater, Schmeichel, etc. They weren't mugs. They just got under the radar.

Nothing Conte did last early season should have surprised anyone. The whole idea that because we were on top after 11 games means that we were legitimately a good team is utter nonsense. The genesis of this conversation was when I mentioned the issue of a midfield paring of Hjojberg and Skipp...and I got shouted down as though a midfield pairing of those two is acceptable because that is who Conte used.

Well it's not. Because if it was we'd still be in the Carabou Cup.

We need reinforcements. Today.
