Him and Lloris both happy it appears to have a jolly for a season while Kane wanted out.

Think about that, 2 players who would be happy not to play and one who understandable wanted a new challenge as the leadership group. Just imagine the leadership.
I assume Lloris is counting on contract termination. Dier, I have no idea what he's thinking.

yeah that’s fair.

I’ll change it:

If we are serious about competing with our rivals, we needed to be signing a new GK, x2 CBs, and a #10 without needing to sell out best player.

Agreed?
Haha no I don't agree at all, tbh I doubt we even agree on who our realistic rivals even are. I'm a realist, you're a fantasist. But that's not a conversation for this thread - thought I'd just playfully call you out on 'other teams is whataboutery' that you've spouted so much recently like someone who has learned a new phrase at their online debating club. :p It was meant to be playful - I'm more than a little tipsy right now, no offense intended. I do agree on needing another CB - let's at least agree that we'll both be disappointed if that doesn't get done in the next few hours. :)

Imagine being in Dier's position though, you're getting paid millions to essentially have a year off from your full time job, so you can ensure you have the freedom to find a new employer that exactly fits your criteria. You have to feel for the guy, it's a hard life :pochcry:

Sure.

But this season, we have more of a chance to compete in the league with our rivals considering many of them have a lack of depth in their squad and lots more games than us to manage their best players fitness.

I hope we make Dier suffer for his intransigence. He's a shit player who managed to blag a contract a couple years ago under Mourinho, and even started two whole seasons as CB. The club has no more obligations to him, and whatever "disrespect" he gets, he deserves.

I hope he doesn't get to join the U-21s either, so he can get fat without playing for a year and then fails to secure his precious free move.

A bit underwhelming yes but we’ll be ok. Johnson’s pace on the right will help us greatly. Solomon/Gil Kulu/Johnson on the wings ain’t bad, and I only leave out Son since I expect him to play more ST as we didn’t buy any other STs this window.

Scarlett needs another loan, as do others not set to get any significant minutes right now. Hopefully Levy and co can get this done.

They have more coverage relative to their fixture list than we do for ours.
Yup, we basically have a starting 11 and nothing else. Yeah, we can sub on PEH, Skipp, Solomon, Perisic etc. for a bit, but you definitely wouldn't want to spend a season with a serious injury to any of our starters, except Richarlison.
