Nope. Dier is done. Phillips is in.
I think we just have to get used to the idea that Ange is no Conte/Jose and he will trust younger players like Phillips, I'd be very surprised if Dier gets any minutes this season.

Really wish Sanchez all the best. Could have waited it out a year and collected a big signing on bonus from his next club (whilst also getting minutes here as Ange trusted him to be part of the squad) but decided to move on so he can actually play.

Sanchez had some big time flaws, but outside of his debut year, we seemed to have no intention on helping him minimise them.

Ange naming Phillips on the Bench instead of Dier on Saturday was as clear a message as you can get that he is finished here.
Dier has not been named in a single squad this season.

He'd probably play any one of Davies, Emerson, Bissouma, Udoie etc. at CB over Dier. This is the clearest snubbing of a senior player we've had since Poch.
What I would say when Phillips inevitably does play some minutes...he's bound to make some mistakes. Some mistakes will lead to the odd goal.
I hope people don't be too harsh on him (fair constructive criticism is ok, calling him a useless cunt is not), and understand he's still learning the game at this level.
