Match Sheff Utd (H) 16/09 - 3PM - ANGE BALL IS BACK BABY

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Buy we mustn't get ahead of ourselves, it Sheffield, we should've had that in the bag earlier.

Johnson to start over Kulu. I believe Kulu is way more effective playing in a 10 role.

Richie can be a Great Super Sub, his energy and determination can't be questioned.

Ange doesn't have what he wants. Our defence needs cover on the LB and CB positions.

Let's pray there are no injuries.
I believe youre way more effective not posting

Seriously

They will be saying it’s rigged because of the 12 mins. :ange-lol:.
So Newcastle & United look fairly average. Woolwich & city I think are dead certs for top 5 . & I think liverpools very good attackers will get them top 5 & cover for some of their frailties.
So there is a real chance this season for us to get top 5. Injury to a CB & us also being a bit lightweight in attack (no Kane replacement) is the biggest worry. Then it’s also hard to predict because maybe a Brighton will sneak up there too.
Spurs should finish top 4 with no injuries, as those other sides have European football to play. Brighton are the dark horses, they keep selling their best players and then find another good one to put in. If we can add some good back up players next transfer window, we should be OK.

Seriously lads, Ange is right up there with Pep and Klopp

If he gets the financial backing the sky is the limit for you. Like I say, he very rarely makes a bad signing

You must be delighted you never got Slott. I'm gutted yous didn't 😞😆😆
Spoke to quite a few Bhoys this summer over here, both Glasgow and Derry based; got questioned as to how I thought Ange would do.

Said , firstly, didn't want him to leave Celtic, but would be hard to judge him as he'll be up against our ownership business model but more so against oil and oligarch clubs.

But one thing's for sure, 'we'll never stop' so it'll be a relief for our fans and a return to proper Tottenham, whatever happens.

Yep.

We learn alot more from the team in games like this instead of just winning 5-0 at home against them.

For a young team to show the character is not just a testament to them but the coaching staff. Helps that the home fans were backing them all the way.
Look at the staff going apeshit in this clip. I wish it showed the two seconds preceding it when you can see them get to their feet as Richy passes off to Kulu. Everyone is invested.

This is the damn mentality we lack for years, even pochettino can't provide us for that, teams basically revolve around bisoumma, sheer ball management, don't see us losing ball and the urgency to win it back real fast without caring about positon is all about genpressing.

Soloman deserves some praise but someone needs to let him know he doesn't need to rush for a goal.. I felt we were intense with him on when perisic came on we lost some of that, he was guilty for wasting some turnover.

We should have wrapped the game but as usual we were always going to concede to shit teams like Burnley and sheff United given their 1 shot 1 goal luck

Sky sports are so upset we won that it still says we’re 1-0 down 🤣

Same on main page of BBC football.

Can't believe we scored on the verge of 100 minutes.

Was working so kept an eye on the score on my phone. Got into the car and put on the radio and they said Spurs just got a winner. Checked my phone again and this was showing. Was a bitter Gooner in charge of updating the Spurs game?

The BBC was the same. Didn't update until about 5 minutes after the game ended.
What was going on with BBC especially today? despite having all games on firestick, been advised to reduce stress for health reasons, which means rarely watching us and shouting at tv for 100 mins.
So, came back from dog walk, got BBC text, saw us 1 nil down at 90 plus 7 (swore about how over confident everyone was) refreshed a few times, over several minutes, still said 90 plus 7, losing.

Tried one last time, 2 - 1 up etc.
Open mouthed.
Remembered ' we don't stop' Ange mantra from Celtic. Still shocked though.

But also remembered the joy of BBC text refresh.
Year and half ago, was over the border in the Irish Republic, Leicester away. Clicked on 90 plus 5, (knew it was 1 all half time but we were battering them)

Said 'fuck' as score came up in a flash at 2-1 Leicester.
In Ireland, BBC works out you're in a different country, refreshes in a millisecond, and it comes up 3-2 to us, 90 plus 7.

Spurs fan in me forced me to walk out the room thinking we'd still blow it.

Something different about this team though.

Yeah, it's great. This was an important test, and we passed. When teams realize we are not merely fluid and entertaining but also capable of overcoming bullshit like this, they'll come to the stadium half-beaten.

Reckon the likes of Sean Dyche won't be licking their lips at the prospect of shithousing a point off us.

I remember an Ange game from a couple seasons ago when we scored so late to win that the BBC had already uploaded their article about Celtic dropping points.

That ended up being a quick retraction
:ange-facepalm:
