Match Scum (A) 24/09- 2PM - SUPER ANGE 🄰

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Am I the only one who very strongly would prefer to see Royal starting as RB over Porro?

While Porro has occasional sweet pass in his leg, he is pretty shocking in defense quite often, sorry.
I just remember ManU first half... It almost felt like we played without RB.

And this is not only about NLD. I think over course of the season we can use and will use Porro and Royal depending on what the need / requirement is.

Only other call to make is in frontline. From one hand I feel we should have physical presence up top - against Sheffield we failed to keep the ball up in any other area than right flank where Kulu was hugging the touchline. But from a totally different perspective - Scum plays high line as well and it would be better to have two very pacy players upfront.

So all in all, I'd really like to see -

-------------Vic------------
-Royal-Romero-VDV-Udogie
-------Sarr-----Bissouma----
--Kulu---Madders----Son--
----------Johnson------------

That also leaves options to make alterations pretty much all over the pitch, except for CB ofc.
We can bring in Solomon as very fast player against tired legs. We can bring on Richie if we need to keep ball up more and need someone putting away crosses. We can call upon Skippy if we need more protection to backline and pair bringing him on with bringing Porro on for Royal.

It's gonna be massive game and our lads have to be as sharp and alert as possible. I think the biggest test will be on Sarr and Madders tomorrow. If they can keep up their performances and pierce the scum midfield, we should be in for a treat! COYS!!!

I’m not sure. Emerson only arrived back in the UK yesterday after spending the week in Brazil with his newborn son, so he’s not had much training/preparation.

Besides that, I imagine Ange will rather take the risk with Porro for his attacking ability.

Porro has been much better defensively recently. Has more recovery pace as well.

I’d be fine with Emerson but ideally in the home game after the disgrace of a red card he got in this fixture last year

I didn't think my point was that hard to understand tbh. There wasn't an ongoing war in Greece where they were displaced which is what I mean by voluntarily moving. They were in temporary housing in Australia, it's just that when I hear 'refugee camp' I usually think of the Calais Jungle or something.

I'm not doubting that he fled greece due to the government and was put in temporary housing.
The man himself referred to it as a refugee camp!

I personally disagree on both your changes.

On Royal Vs Porro - Look I won’t argue that Royal is better defensively but I think as a ā€œdefenderā€ he’s a little overrated. If Porro got done as easily as Royal did twice against Brentford people would be out for blood. Plus, it’s going to be Trossard as opposed to Martinelli out wide for them, that feels an assignment easier for Porto’s skill set. I like the brave selection of Porro personally.

Front Line - Ben White is a weakness for Woolwich. He’s an average CB playing out of position. I think Solomon, who looks like our best dribbler, is better equipped to take advantage of that than Son. It feels like 18 months now since Son took his full- back on whereas I can seen Solomon giving White a really torrid time, both with the ball and out of possession with his pressing.

I have no idea what your point is. Obviously I know he was an immigrant but refugee camps are meant to house displaced people, not people who voluntarily move country.

He most likely just meant he was put in temporary housing which a refugee camp essentially is, but it has different connotations.
Here in Australia new immigrants would pass through "migrant camps" until they got sorted with a job and housing. My parents went through Bonegilla migrant camp when they arrived in the 50's. That's what was probably meant.

Nothing like an NLD to fire up the " who can show how much 'I really hate them' competition" once again.
My entry is
- I once had a car that was a vague shade of red, so I had it sprayed White.
Back up
I taught both of my daughters to say " Better dead than red" almost as soon as they could speak.

Haha, my contribution...

On my third date with my now wife (19 years and counting - go us!) she was waiting in the cafƩ wearing a long-sleeved white t shirt and a red wool waistcoat/gillet type affair. She since swears blind it was "fuscia" but I'm having none of that.

She had to be told, even at the risk of ruining our nascent romance. "Please don't wear that combination again". To her eternal credit she didn't shake her head, walk out and look for a bloke with a higher level of emotional intelligence.

:ange-facepalm:
On our first Valentine's Day, my BF bought me red roses; I said Thanks but I don't do red!! He spends birthdays and Valentines scouring florists for non-red flowers.

My missus has already told me she is going out tomorow until kick off, whats wrong with singing Come On You Spurs constantly for 24 hrs
My missus has already told me not to come home after the match if we lose.
Told her I wasn’t planning on coming home if we win
either.

Hippest of hipsters but yes, probably the most reasonable 11 I’ve seen.

I’d have Bissouma but obviously biased.
Bissouma, on current form, would be my first pick. I don’t do these ā€œcomparisonā€ things usually as it’s a sum of the parts, rather than individual picks.
And even with a Spurs bias, I’ve not seen a more commanding midfield player this season so far.
IMO, he’s been elite. Rice is good, no question, but his price tag seems to be elevating him beyond realistic levels.
I guess we will soon find out…
