Ok, so disappointed about Johnson.... he's had mixed luck so far... coulda had 2 goals already, but as it is , he has 0 and is out for this game.... sliding doors moments!
But his time will come...

Better news on Son & Maddison... THOSE are two we need playing tomorrow!

Our bench is pretty thin right now in terms of attackers. It’s basically just Richy or Solomon, whoever doesn’t start is our only attacker.

I guess maybe Bryan and Gio could be fit for some minutes but that’s it. Could see an academy lad there and legitimately get a chance at some minutes.

Veliz was on the bench last weekend, would assume he would have a chance at some minutes

Agree, the two forwards on form in u21's atm are :

James Donley, aged 18 but almost has an adult frame now, currently playing a no 10/Maddison role but was a striker last season has scored 5 goals with 6 assists in 7 matches for u21's (so 1.6 goal involvement per 90 mins).

Jude Soonsup-Bell, aged 19, currently playing as a RW but could play all over front line. Has scored 6 goals with 3 assists in 7 games (so 1.3 goal involvements per 90 mins).

There's a few reasons why U21's have won all matches this season, including thrashing a L2 side 5-0 away in EFL Trophy.... and above are 2 reasons !

Both excellent bench options

Not really mate. Veliz was on the bench v Woolwich. We got plenty of options in attack. It’s our defence back up that needs improvement

Our bench with Perisic was probably making the biggest impact in games in the premier league.
Richy has just won a game from the bench as well.
Even Davies came off the bench and had a goal involvement.

We still need to build a squad and on paper the bench doesn't look great but in reality, so far our bench has been immense.

I'd start the pigeon for this one with Johnson being out.
