Club Everton - The comedy

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I don't have any real thoughts on Everton in general but seems like they are an easy target.

Lets see what happens with Citeh, their financial wrong doings investigation will go on for another 30 years purely because they can afford the most expensive lawyers.

Oh let's not forget about Chelsea and Toon.
I think it's one thing to land the jackpot like Chelsea & Man City have done... Unfair for the rest of us, but they just happen to have had disgustingly rich owners prepared to throw obscene amounts of money about until it wins (see Newcastle in 3-4 years)

I might be wrong, but I think Everton's wrong doing was more to do with them pleading a loss in revenue for 5 consecutive years... something which, like it or not, Chelsea/Man City and now Newcastle wouldn't have the front to do, as they're clearly flush with cash...
Where the cash comes from is another matter... but that's more to do with scruples and morality about funding a club on dubious wealth!

Everton are an easy target, like we were when we got a fine and points deduction when the old East Stand went up in the early '90s...
I know we got the points back, but it was still the start of the realisation that Alan Sugar wasn't quite the astute, untouchable businessman he thought he was!

I like the second to last sentence in Everton's statement where they basically say they will be watching what happens to the likes of Man City (and possibly chavski?) on their situations...

Quite right to include that

They will probably stay up but should we just forgive the Dele add on at this point and see if he can help them? The fact that City have repeatedly gotten away with breaches of ffp but they are sticking it to Everton doesn't sit right.

Not sure if point deductions are enough if they were doing it over a number of years, they've effectively ruined the integrity of the league.

These penalties are so soft compared to the gains.

Everton avoided relegation due to this. Their punishment is 10 points deducted in a season where they will almost certainly be safe.

A punishment has to exceed the gain from breaking the law or it won’t deter the offender. Ask Everton if they’d do this again and accept the punishment and they 100% would.

Imagine breaching financial fair play and still being utter shit though 🥹

That said they'll still probably stay up given the state of others in the league this year.

Why the hate?

Everton are a pretty decent club with very decent fans.
They're a depressing club to even think about, their football is dog shit, it pisses me off that we are often seen as parallels of eachother as clubs, their fans are a bunch of whining c**ts and would be just as bad as Liverpool's if they had anything to crow about...

I despise them and couldn't agree less with your assessment.
