Management Ange Postecoglou

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

i like angeball up until the ball gets in the final third, then its a case of being overplayed too much. soooo many times today we have the ball in key areas to put a cross in that should be a concern for the oppo but the cross doesnt come because we have players in there who are not brave enough to fucking attack it. thats a fucking big fucking problem and undoes all the good midfield work of getting the ball into these positions. get a proper fucking 9 who wants to fucking feed off deliveries and we might do something but until then these campers will have our number because we have no box threat.

on the back of having someone brave in the middle they wont be so welcome to us having crossing opportunities and spaces will open up more centrally due to it.

I'm not the manager, what a response, fantastic 😆

State of people in here for Christ Sake 🤦‍♂️
Do you think I'm some sort of tactical genius who should be writing essays to Ange, explaining his fault and telling him how to improve?

Lmfao.

All I know is that the team has to improve. That means the players, but also the guy in charge of training and coaching, picking the team and deciding the tactics.

No one is without fault. But at the end of the day, the manager is in charge
But there are mitigating circumstances for the lack of results.
If this was our strongest team then you could have more of a case.

But it is what it is and we need patience and to build the squad out.
Otherwise it's rinse and repeat the cycle - blame it all on the manager, sack him and line up the next lame duck.

He's shown over the first 10 games what he can do, and has been open about how there would be ups and downs.

Kind of tricky when there is some real garbage out there on the pitch with our injury problems.

What can Ange do about Richarlison missing free headers? Sub himself on?
It wasn't the garbage that let us down, it was Udogie, and our front 3. Udogie is often far too casual, starting to remind me of the stuff I saw at Udinese, general looseness instead of pinpoint zipped passes.

Newcastle have 10 injuries, United have a shit ton, Chelsea have a shit ton, Brighton a crazy amount.

City have been without 3 starters plenty of times this year, just like us.

Injuries are a part of it. Of course it explains why we aren't as good. But we still need to do better than this current, abysmal run of form.

Accepting this fact doesn't mean I want to boot the manager lol

I am worried for Ange, the more we lose, the less trust Levy will have in him and the less he will be backed.

No mate, it's called constructive criticism, this is how a debate works.

Saying that Ange needs to fix it and it's not good enough is pointing out the fucking obvious and just ignores the context

The team needs to improve, NO FUCKING WAY, tell us something we don't know, it's like debating with a child, no offence.

By the way, when you naysayers were all happy in the first 3 months of the season where was this misplaced energy back then?

Our lack of finishing is a skill issue imo more than a management one, we need more clinical forwards, I don't think you can really teach that, it comes from natural ability a lot of the time.

Son has spurts of brilliance, Kulu also and some of our other forwards but it's not enough to just have spurts, the quality has to be there more often than not.

And all of those teams are below us in the table

If i was speaking to the manager directly maybe it could be considered constructive criticism. Lol

Yeah I really don't see a management or coaching issue at all, literally everything in our play was good until we got to that point which shows that coaching isn't the problem. You aren't going to make a player at this level more clinical.
